Yeah, the actual arcade game is pretty alright. There's a speed meter not featured in the ports that slows to a stop when you move up and speeds up when you move down, and it got on my nerves a little, but it makes the gameplay more engaging than moving in a square constantly to avoid bullets. Definitely the best way to play this, but it's not very enjoyable, or even interesting compared to the hilariously hateful ports.

This fucking game is on the PC Engine as well so I figured I'd look at it for kicks. With better frames it's..not that much better of a game. Also it's uglier than Super Thunder Blade somehow. I get a feeling rating it like this wouldn't be fair to the arcade version on the same page (which I also intend to try) so I'm gonna leave it blank for now but this is a 3/10
