It's decent for a licensed game of the time.

It plays ok. Having to reach certain points to update your map annoyed me.

God a lot of people here really seem to think this is just a whatever game. Know I am one that is traditionally open to other peoples interpretations, but I do not understand. Samus Returns is amazing; it takes the concept of that really horrid Game Boy game, and makes something actually good with it. The graphics tend not look great, but the gameplay feels quick, tights, and well balanced. Combined with new additions and some fun boss fights, makes this an amazing 2D Metroid.

what a masterpiece omg it was so beautiful

I played this when I was 18, sobbing on the floor, ugly crying when I finished it. A game perhaps most like a Ghibli movie; the piece is full of magic, dignity, fear, love, and deep power. True masters made this.

2nd best Zelda game ever made.

Better with rewind, because this is just jack full of BS shenanigans.

"hey you know the game that had like 30 bosses cut due to technological limitations of the time?"

"yeah?"

"we should totally remake it"

"what you mean we include at least some of those cut bosses that the fans have been dying for and even modding into the original game themselves, and utilize more of the vast world without sacrificing that empty desolate feeling that the ps2 game evoked"

"what no i just mean lets keep it almost exactly the same but butcher the art style, and add like a new sword and time trials and ubisoft collectables"

"oh thats way better than what i was thinking"
