While the gameplay depth is higher than previous entries, the game is insanely easy, even more so than its predecessors. The extra depth the Tactics Board adds is immediately disregarded by the minimal use non-competitive play has.
Probably the best Inazuma Eleven title, I played the Bomber version immediately after IE1 and enjoyed it immensely. Hissatsu tactics suck but not enough to move this down to 4.5.
Played through IE2 Blizzard and IE3 The Ogre via this remaster, both are incredible games. IE3 was not as hard or fun on a second playthrough, even with the added Ogre content, but was still enjoyable.
Somehow, one of the GO titles was good. Experience scaling exists, only your opponent’s Keshins are overpowered, and the game’s quality of life improvements over the 3DS titles are very useful.
This game is bad. Experience scaling doesn’t seem to exist, and giving you the free 11 scouts halfway through the story was a bad idea, that should have happened in the postgame. Keshin Armed, while nerfed, still rules this game.
Toby Fox & the DELTARUNE team are incredible, and have made an incredible game. Everything about it is perfect: writing, sprite art, gameplay. Truly a masterpiece, even if we only have 2/7 of the whole work.
