fortunately, my laptop was able to run this and wow. it's different from Force Unleashed but it's good and honestly refreshing. i like how i had to rely on parrying, using the force when needed, switching from single to dual blade and vice-versa, etc. imo it's a nice change of pace from being a powerhouse in the Force Unleashed

great gameplay, but the story sucked. too rushed, and it was GARBAGE. i'd give this game a negative rating just because of that. not the follow-up to the story that i was expecting.

all the new battlefront games had to do... was COPY. THIS. GAME. IT WAS MADE ON A HANDHELD. and they couldn't have both the new battlefront games have space and ground as part of the same battlefield, a full fledged campaign, and galactic conquest.

the gameplay is fantastic imo. this is another title that pushes the gameplay of action rpgs forward. 2nd best action rpg combat of all time. the armor and weapon designs look good and it gets cooler as you progress. the skills are absolutely sick and it works fluidly with the normal weapon combos

best action rpg combat of all time. only to be topped by the sequel. unfortunately, the vision was not fully realized in this game. but it still has its merits because it pushed the gameplay of action rpgs forward

i wish this game was finished. the story stopped making sense halfway through and the ending part was rushed imo. the first assassin mission in this game is iconic imo and one of the coolest assassinations in the series. unfortunately that's only 1 of 3 unique assassinations in the entire game. this game could've been good, but it fails to live up to its potential

what makes this game unique and stand out from other titles is the drug trading system which, for some stupid reason, was not used again in subsequent GTA titles

for the "weakest" entry in the series, the story and characters are good. combat sucks because you're limited to throw or dodge in chapters 1-4, quickstep restoration is essential otherwise your dodges won't do anything, and komaki moves are a necessity to make groupfights bearable. 1v1 bossfights are great imo, except for the joji fight because he doesn't have telegraphed moves. the IF7 Lau and last fight are horrible because the former is a 3v1 and the latter is rng because he can tigerdrop at any given time

2022

Masterpiece of a beat 'em up kung fu game.

decent story, nice variety of characters, characters have their own arcs in the story, etc. deserves a sequel. a true underrated gem

will definitely do a bitter playthrough. the gameplay is awesome and the OST is just pure perfection.

4-4.5 stars. had to give it the full 5 stars because of that last cutscene & end music. will do a bitter playthrough.

absolute peak. although i have nitpicks: the girl chapters are even more claustrophobic than ryu's chapters, and ryu doesn't even get a rematch with Marbus (instead you get a dragon fight like in the original game which... idk i just felt fighting Marbus in this game felt a lot better than in NG1)

4 stars because Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Black mod exists lmao
