Horizon Zero Dawn is a pretty fun game - when it works. It has a mediocre story (with the exception of discovering the unoriginal history of the world), mediocre characters (with the exception of some side characters) and early access level indie game hitboxes, which affect the gameplay experience from one extreme to another. But it also has beautiful graphics. When the combat is literally the best aspect of the game, but with the mechanics working every other day, (even when including other positives) I cannot award a higher score than 6/10.

A short and relaxing experience of a game with some clunky mechanics, cool graphics and a story with discoverable lore. But the fact that I fell through the world twice when not being able to fly wasn't cool.

Far Cry 5 is the first Far Cry I've ever played and despite people saying it's bad, I actually quite enjoyed it. The game features an open world, which - by Ubisoft standards - is pretty big as expected and as with other open world games by Ubisoft I got bored doing all the same shit after one third in the game. The game does give you options to do things your way, but most of the time it doesn't really matter. The fishing mechanic was cool though.

The story of the game is all over the place, it doesn't give itself enough time to develop and would end too fast only if it wasn't for the resistance point system that's gatekeeping you from progressing further. To give you some sense of development they throw some side quests in your face, which are fine if they are not about collecting some shit I could care less about. In the end the story has something to say and I would've liked it only if the antagonists weren't so bland and unrelatable.

The game has cool visuals and I mean that it looks pretty realistic. So much so that anyone living in the bunker knows that going out is pretty much a blinding experience every time. Glad the developers didn't miss that part! Even though the visuals are cool for the most part, everything is watered down from a distance. And the visibility in the game is awful. If I'm supposed to use some binoculars every two seconds to mark my enemies to even see them at close range, the game has a big problem. If I'm in a hurry I don't have even a few seconds to spare for scanning my surroundings and while driving I can't even use binoculars in the first place. To me, visibility is pretty important in an fps game and the lack of it doesn't make this one stand out in a good way. The game has bugs, weird design decisions and all, but compared to the aforementioned they really don't matter that much in the end. It was pretty fun for a game that I bought from sale only for fly fishing.

A pretty decent game with an original story based around the Greek mythology. The game is pretty easy though, even in higher difficulties, if you focus on powering up your character. The combat in the game is surprisingly responsive and well-made even though it is pretty easy to master as well. And the game looks pretty (when it has rendered everything).

Now the story isn't the best part of the game. It starts pretty weak and the jokes between the narrator and the one the story is told to tend to miss most of the time. However, the story finds some solid ground as it progresses further. The main quest line isn't too long and it would be even shorter if the hardest vaults of Tartaros wouldn't take an hour to complete. And I'm not even implying that the puzzles are all that hard. The hardest vaults literally take ridiculously long to complete that it isn't fun or rewarding at that point anymore. The ideal model would be something between the easy and medium vaults or they should've just copied the tomb raiding system from the Tomb Raider reboots. The game also has a flying (or gliding) mechanic which made me hate the parkour and flying stages as Fenyx cannot take a sharp turn while gliding.

At the end of the main quest line I didn't even bother on completing the island 100% as the game doesn't even have Steam achievements (and I could care less about Bugisoft core challenges). Maybe I should just buy BotW and play that instead.

It's cool for a game of its time, but I still prefer the reboot franchise.

Would be pretty okay if not for Hi-Rez.

Was ruined forever by constant power creep.

May have been THE moba to play, but it turned out to be more a waiting simulator than an actual game.

Tinkaton will never be OP.
