This is easily one of my favorite games as it has done right so many things I would expect from a great adventure game. Kena is set out to find a sacred mountain shrine, but is eventually held up by the corrupted nature and lingering spirits that she has to help in order to reach her goal. The game features cute creatures, Rot, that Kena collects during her journey and they ultimately have their place in the gameplay as well. Combat is fun and bosses are challenging. Melee combat could use an update, but otherwise I like it for what it is. The game looks beautiful and it's part of the reason why exploring is pretty fun too. The story may be a lackluster for some people, but I love it for its subtlety, especially for its take on the importance of death as a part of the natural cycle. The game is not too long and I would love to see a sequel happen, even though it's very unlikely. This will be that one game that I will replay at least once a year to remind me of my first playthrough.

2016

A pretty decent game with an original story based around the Greek mythology. The game is pretty easy though, even in higher difficulties, if you focus on powering up your character. The combat in the game is surprisingly responsive and well-made even though it is pretty easy to master as well. And the game looks pretty (when it has rendered everything).

Now the story isn't the best part of the game. It starts pretty weak and the jokes between the narrator and the one the story is told to tend to miss most of the time. However, the story finds some solid ground as it progresses further. The main quest line isn't too long and it would be even shorter if the hardest vaults of Tartaros wouldn't take an hour to complete. And I'm not even implying that the puzzles are all that hard. The hardest vaults literally take ridiculously long to complete that it isn't fun or rewarding at that point anymore. The ideal model would be something between the easy and medium vaults or they should've just copied the tomb raiding system from the Tomb Raider reboots. The game also has a flying (or gliding) mechanic which made me hate the parkour and flying stages as Fenyx cannot take a sharp turn while gliding.

At the end of the main quest line I didn't even bother on completing the island 100% as the game doesn't even have Steam achievements (and I could care less about Bugisoft core challenges). Maybe I should just buy BotW and play that instead.

One of my favorite platformer games and my favorite in the franchise. Btw, Zoya is broken in this one.

A pretty wholesome and fun puzzle game about childhood neighbours and their time together.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a pretty fun game - when it works. It has a mediocre story (with the exception of discovering the unoriginal history of the world), mediocre characters (with the exception of some side characters) and early access level indie game hitboxes, which affect the gameplay experience from one extreme to another. But it also has beautiful graphics. When the combat is literally the best aspect of the game, but with the mechanics working every other day, (even when including other positives) I cannot award a higher score than 6/10.

A great souls-like in Star Wars setting. The lack of fast travel is a big minus though.

A fun and short visual novel about a guy finding himself in the morning next to a strange girl with no memory of the last evening. The story features 12 different endings and multiple things to explore in the room that are impossible to go through in one go.

A great story/puzzle game about two brothers set on a quest to cure their father.

We have Assassin's Creed at home. And a pretty repetitive one at that.

If you value your time and sanity, just don't.

Worse than the original Overwatch. Nothing in the game grants the "2" in the name.

A simple puzzle game that once in a while takes its puzzles to the next level with new mechanics that fit the original idea of the game.

The worse DLC for AC Origins. If I had to describe this in some way, I would say that this is basically a 10-hour version of the base game. It does continue the main quest line with a separate story, but that's pretty much the only new thing this DLC brings.

It's a pretty grim, dark and insane game and I absolutely loved it. But backtracking the missing lorestones sucked.
