Really strong opening and quite a good game in general ! Seeing the hellish landscape turn beautiful while still alien was amazing ! I found it very addictive too for a good while, progress leading to more and more ressources and things to craft was very satisfying.

The very strong excitement and urge to play slowly turned to feeling like a chore when nearing the end of the game however. It gets very slow and grindy in the late game and the aforementionned excitement of unlocking new stuff to do turned into a very boring crawl when new things to do ran dry.

I will not elaborate on the ending but it felt a bit rushed and left me quite dissapointed. It's a shame the late game is not up to the standard of the early excitement, still was fun to play !

There truly are animals in the well ...

It not only succeeds at being a really good puzzle metroidvania, but also at being a secret filled experience like tunic and such.

The well goes deeper and deeper.

It was made of "béton". And it sure was brutal, both as in the architectural style and also the very painful falls.
Couldn't finish it because it lacked a Benett Fody getting all philosophical on me lol.

I'm going down this road feeling bad 🎵
Of course it's super hard and rough and punitive and all.
But also ... It's surprisingly genuine and touching in a subtle way ?
I powered through because I was too stubborn not to see the ending. And I'm so glad I did ...
Insanely difficult though, not for everyone.
The only rage game I finished and maybe the only one, I loved it <3.

I'm not crying, you are !
It's really well written and created as expected from echogames !
However, HUGE content warning on that one, got super rough and too real at times ...

A fun game, albeit a flawed one. The game is not very good at communicating with the player and it gets very very grindy near the end. Had some great moments though !

Daaaaamn that was really good ! Was expecting a lot after playing echo but it did not dissapoint in the slightest !

Managed in my opinion to be somehow better than the original ?

It was not that good, even outright terrible in some aspects but DAMN did I love it ...

Toussaint looks so pretty it's dreamlike. Really liked the story and characters too, even more so than the base game !

The level called "The past" did something to me. Sure the game is a good lofi-esque rythm heaven like, but playing it i felt like it has ... something more. Just a little.
The tiny hints at how the main character is feeling, along with the increasingly raw themes really gave it more depth than rythm heaven I think.
Or maybe i'm just depressed, who knows ?

That was ... something ... Certainly ... a video game !

I absolutely adored certain aspects of the game ! However, the cryptic story was done in a way that didn't quite hit the mark for me. The impossibility to tell for certain exactly what happened didn't quite work aswell as in other titles (like signalis or immortality) i believe.
Oh it's also awfully punitive but at that point it's a part of the deal.

It took me three days to recover from playing this game. It has changed me in a way very few pieces of art have done.
