What an amazing game. Great surprise. I have never heard of this dev until this game and its just a bangger.
Clealy take Max Payne as a inspiration. Good story told from a third person pespective and WHAT AN AMAZING soundtrack. I mean, what the fuck.

In a year of a lot of possible gotys, Alan Wake rise above all.
The story is fucking fantastic, the gameplay is solid, the graphics are the best of the generation and the elements o survival horror are great.
Almost everything about this game is A+. Improves in everything from the first game.
Doesn't have the amount of enemies that the first game had. Its just enough enemies to scary you off.
The only critic that I have is about the ''cheap jump scare'' that the game have, especially with Saga. But is a minor issue.

Best Final Fantasy since XII (okay that doesn't mean much cuz XIII is worse than garbage, and XV is pretty bad). But I really liked the game. It has flaws obviously, but overall it's a great game.
The battles against each boss definitely could be a final boss in 99% of games. Every BATTLE is epic.
Soundtrack is fantastic. The old final fantasy songs at the beginning of some melodies was really cool.
Now… it's not all roses. The game kind of gets lost in the story. It seems that they started taking Game of Thrones as inspiration, but they got 30, 40% of the game and realized that they had to put something more fantasy-oriented. And the story falls apart for me.
The political part, that was very good at the beginning is simply thrown in the trash. And it gets worse because the villain is pretty meh. Really video game ' ' I'm bad buhuuuu ' '. Fortunately, the game is still interesting due to the number of awesome battles (Titan MY GOD).
But story was certainly the weakest point of the game, the plot of Clive's mother is too pathetic haueuhaeae, the devs seem to have forgotten her and remember all of sudden.
Another thing is Joshua, why did he do everything he did? Meaningless as fuck. And Jill has as much charisma and development as a door.
At least the ending was satisfying.
Now about Clive. Best Final Fantasy main character since I don't know when. Very good.
Cid and some secondary characters are very good too. Gav is the MVP.
But even with the story as it was, for me it's 4/5 and has to be one of the best games of this year. Game doesn't leave much room for DLC, but I hope they do something with young Clive's period.

What a great game. The writing is fantastic! All the characters have personality, the graphics are pretty good...the story is top notch. one of the best games that I played in a long time.
