Rain world is a game about a little slug creater named Slugcat, and you're gonna try to survive in this harsh world full of predators, it's a hard game.
But the best part imo of this game is its world, it's ALIVE. except for a very few moments, the rest of the game is alive and breathing, their enemies wander around zones and eat and scape from predators, so if you die and go sent back to the last save, you will most likely experience a different thing, even if you decide to go to the same place, because said enemies and predators decided to go to a different place, or maybe they got eaten, or maybe they already got a prey so they went to their nest to eat and rest.
The game is a bit cryptid about what it wants you to do, but that's kinda a good thing, the game wants you to explore, see the world, survive, eat or be eaten, understand by yourself what you can do, maybe you fall into the correct path by accident, but it will feel like YOU FOUND THAT, not the game pointing directly an arrow at all times to where to go ( you do get some guidance but it's faint and some people don't notice that).
The game doesn't hold your hand, it wants you to explore it by yourself, the game doesn't treat you like a baby spoon feeding everything to you like a lot of games nowadays.
You can always just use a map from the wiki, but trust me, this will most likely ruin your experience on the long run, take your time on this beautiful and harsh world of heavy rain
