This is a pretty good roguelike/lite. Not as fantastic as Little Noah or Patch Quest (Review for this eventually) but it's far from mediocre. I done 3 completed runs on normal and it's always a good 30 or more minutes of enjoyment. The large amount of paid content might be scary but you can get everything in the game for free if you just grind a bit. It's also not as complex or intuitive as other roguelike/lites so that might be a deal breaker to some. I'd say give it a shot when it's on sale.

In the new update, they allowed you to play as Zipper. I was like cool let me check that out. I just nonchalantly jumped in for a quick run, I wasn't play all that serious. I was expect to die to the first or second boss. But I somehow made it to the final boss and defeated him..IN ONE RUN! No clue how I just randomly got better at this game when I hadn't even touched it in like 3 months.

Anyways that was off topic but Zipper isn't too bad. With him you get to triple jump and your dash is faster but you lose the ability to heal so you're gonna have to spend money on the shop to heal yourself which isn't too bad. Plus your burst gives you invulnerability for a set time. He's pretty small though so you might lose track of where he is and/or his attacks. But if I was able to beat it, you should to.

It was fun to play but I didn't really feel much when I finished it. The story is not that interesting to me, the lore and worldbuilding didn't do anything special and the characters were pretty meh, there isn't one character I'd consider memorable. Plus there were characters that randomly join the hub (with no explanation) and have the same 1 or 2 lines for the whole game. That was just lame and boring imo.

But the gameplay is great. It's a 2D side scrolling platformer with some good and fun ideas. Mobility is a lot better than expected when I first did the tutorial. Even if the latter half of the game just turns into spike city.

The ost and sprite work is pretty good. Enemy placement could be cheap sometimes but what side scroller isn't. Regardless, I would only play this if you bought a bundle and it was in there.

The glow-up, GODDAMN!

This game is phenomenal, a thousand times better than the first game. It does everything right in my eyes.

First off, you are no longer secluded to one giant area. Instead you get to explore multiple small and medium sized areas, which I found more enjoyable. It feels like you're truly exploring space and going to different planets. It honestly did feel like a collectathon at points, probably why I liked it so much.

Second, the gameplay. There's only a few changes for Sophia and I actually really liked it. The reason why it's different is pretty iffy but I had fun controlling it so I didn't really mind. The Jason specific areas were great a lot better than the first thanks to the new mechanic of Counter. It helped make battles more interesting than just spamming the shoot button with the strongest attack.

Third, the story is also way more interesting than the first, plus the final level was hype as hell. The worldbuilding was great. And meeting other characters was cool. Helped make the world feel lived in and they all had great characterizations.

I'm all aboard the Blaster Master Zero train, very excited to play the third game. I'm really itching for what it's gonna be all about.

And lastly, Fred is best boy once again and he did SOMETHING this time! Three times in fact which is better than zero.

This one was also fun. I have fond memories of this too. Not as much as The Penguins of Madagascar one, but I still loved this one.

I don't think I ever finished it though, I remember it was pretty hard for me back then. I'd probably ace it now though.

IF ONLY I COULD PLAY IT ;-;

Bro they got this on here...ain't no way

This is literally my childhood game. I played this probably a thousand times.

I was one of those kids whose first "console" was a Leapster Frog and I believe this was the first game I got with it. It is an educational game just like all Leapster games but man was it so fun. They really understood that learning game can teach but also be fun at the same time. I'm pretty sure this game taught me way more than school at the time.

I do wish I could play this again for nostalgia sake but unfortunately my mother threw it away since the Leapster explorer I had broke. I doubt there's an emulator for this either.

But I'll always have fond memories for this beautiful machine and game

I was getting ready to play the sequel to this game until I found out I got the bad ending. And missed out on the true ending. It was ok, Area 9 has a huge problem with being easily confused on where to go. It doesn't play like any of the other areas so all the "new" mechanics aren't explained at all, so it just lead to constant frustration. The ending was nice though and Sophia Zero was dope.

I....love this game. SO GODDAMN MUCHHHHH!!!!

The combat, the characters, the ost, the story, literally everything. I love it all.

Ok so first a synopsis, you play as five different characters with completely different play styles while you go through their own story, their own grief, and their own end. You learn a lot about the world of Erion, all the misgivings and order of each nation. Each person is more or less fighting for their own wants and beliefs while attributing to the prophecies called The Erion Saga that is mentioned many many times throughout the game. While going through the five characters' end you learn the truth of the prophecies and with that knowledge it leads you to endgame.

It's pretty similar to 13 Sentinels if you've played that. Which makes sense since it's made by the same developer.

Basically when you start learning and understanding the world, cutscenes in the game start making more and more of an impact on you the player and you basically experience perfection.

This is not a request, this is an order. Please play this game. I swear it's worth it. I know many people knock it down a peg or two because the game does reuses bosses. But the gameplay is so much fun, it never really bothered me that much. Either way, the enjoyment of experiencing this game is such a rush I'm honestly glad I was able to play this finally.

Imagine being so bad at baseball that when you hit the ball with the bat and it goes backwards instead of forward.

Yeah, the angling in this game is pretty wacky. Kinda fun but not really. Tiny bit better than most sports games on the NES.

But at least I got one homerun so I can put that on my resume.

I did not expect the game to play the way it did with this cover art.

But at least now I know the name of the game I was expecting to play. It's called Breakout.

I murdered 24 people in 30 minutes.
I am now a felony in 8 countries.
And I even went to an alternate reality to fight and kill my other self.

Let's just say Dodgeball took the saying "To Kill or Be Killed" seriously

Damn this game was the epitome of mediocre. Like goodness was it just a snooze from beginning to end. I'm glad it wasn't that long or I would have quit.

This is probably the first game I've ever played that perfected Time Attack. I had fun with majority of the races. This was such a smart idea from the devs. Doing tricks or just straight up skipping half the area were just sick.

Also the ost bangs hella hard man. Transidor was my favorite place to do the time attacks. The way they made it was just really damn fun. Plus the music was the best in that area.

I got gold on all of them. So I'm going for all Platinum next.

BANGER GAME!

I love this. Everything about this. Never though my personality would revolve around liking Collectathons but here we are.

The world in the game is so immersive. The art style and ost compliment it perfectly. I even went out of my way to 100% it, which I rarely do on a first playthroughs.

I really don't know what else to say. It was just a really fun 12 hours and I'm glad I was able to partake in it.

Even the ending was pretty cool. Please play this if you haven't already.

I sung mighty praise on the first FE Warriors so it makes sense that I would play the second one. And oh boy did I.

...It's okay compared to FEW.

Don't get my wrong this game is definitely better in every way compare to FEW and 3Houses. The gameplay and ost is phenomenal. The class system was super fun to explore and about the best thing about the game. Like Holy and Dark Knight, Swordmaster, War Master, and thank god they fixed Pegasus in this game (Wyvern and all the mage/priest class suck though) were really fun to use. Class abilities were great in diversifying each character. Though I like how wild and nonsensical supers and awakenings were in OG FEW. As well as, how each map look different. I honestly couldn't tell you the differences between several of the maps in 3Hopes. Not that I was disappointed or annoyed. It was just too easy to notice. Hard mode was actually "hard" at the very least. I liked it after I got out of the rut of grinding several times on the same maps to be able to progress in the beginning.

First off, I chose Golden Wildfire as my first route since Golden Deer was my first and only route I picked in 3Houses. The story isn't bad, obviously it's better FEW and way more interesting than 3Houses. But that's not too hard in my opinion. I like how the story wasn't just fight [SPOLIER CHARACTERS' ARMY] for several chapters. The story is way more interesting when it doesn't focus on them. But it really was just a Claude only show again. And it really sucks when you aren't interested in the person who will be talking 99% of the time.

I see a lot of people don't like how Claude is characterized here but I think he's fine. And this is coming from me, someone who doesn't really care too much about him. I like how the characters bash him on his mistakes and keep to himself attitude.

Shez though, I think they're pretty meh. I'm weirdly judgmental when it comes to FE protags. I don't know why....especially when most of them aren't really good nor interesting. But yeah maybe they'll be better on another route, when I actually learn something about their past. Because it was a whole lot of nothing in Golden Wildfire.

I accidently chose that route that lead to killing Byleth so I have no clue what to think of them. But I will say Sothis was weirdly super aggressive. Like there were many of times she acted evil. No clue what's up with that.

Supports were actually supports unlike the first FEW which I'm glad about. Seeing Marianne and Bernadetta talk was fun and Holst, Baltie and Hilda having a 3 way support (something I've always wanted) was great. I'm happy they went out of their way to do this, so the next time they make another Warriors game they better do the exact same thing and more. I neeeeeeeed more 3 way supports.

Regardless, why do I not like this game as much or even more than the first FE Warriors? I.....reallly wish I could tell you but I dunno. I just didn't vibe that much with this game compare it. Maybe it has to do with the character selection, the fact that I spent 78 hours on this one route, or possibly just not having much of an interest in 3Houses/Hopes lore and story personally. Who knows? ¯\(ツ)

Appreciation post on Balthus. Literally knew nothing about the guy when I started this game but he quickly shot up to be one of my favorites. His VA, personality, design, and vibe is amazing. Now I'm more motivate to touch 3Houses than I wasn't before.
