The game is highly stylized. Gameplay was engaging. Story was kind of generic, but enjoyable. Japanese pronunciations in the English dub were all over the place and honorifics were often flatout wrong. But overall, pretty good game.
Kind of a slog compared to the previous two entries. While the gameplay remains engaging, the story basically revolves around telling character epilogues from the previous game, trying to link everything to future games.
A little overly simplistic gameplay. They introduced a few new mechanics to spice things up, but it's basically the same as previous games. Which isn't a bad thing. Gives gameplay a classic vibe while propelling the story and visuals into the modern age.
Basically the same gameplay as the previous entry, but with the twist of mechs. A very unexpected turn for the franchise that took some getting used to.
Great RPG. Every game improves on the gameplay, though compared to previous entries, the story is kind of slow. Great new additions to the roster with fleshed-out characters.
Similar to Sky 3rd in that it shows scenes of what happens between games and starts to set up for future entries. The big difference between the two games is that this one has a much stronger story for what is going on in the moment in addition to the flashback scenes.
