2012

I can see why this is considered one of the quintessential ps2 era games. It was a special experience that really sticks out amongst a lot of other games of its time. The story is quite vague, but I loved it regardless.

Might just have to put this on my best of all time list. This was such a good game... I really hope they release SO Blue Sphere soon as well. Either as DLC or as a full release. I need more Claude and Rena. But yeah besides Blue Sphere, I have now finished every Star Ocean game! Woooo!

Disc 1 is all I own and probably the only one I will ever own so this is as complete as this game is gonna be... man I really REALLY hope they remaster this game some day because this game is awesome.

Childhood game I haven't replayed since I was 7 cuz my disc was too scratched to reinstall after lol. But man the polish localization was top notch for this. It's still really funny. I didn't remember it having so much swearing and innuendos, but I appreciate that replaying it as an adult haha. Don't know if the English version is also this funny, but yeah!

Finally beat one of the rarest games in my collection. And holy **** this was a masterpiece. Up near top of its class for the PS2. I am now dying for this to be revived in some form and hope the rumors about it being tied further into Xenoblade are true. The only xeno games I have left to play as of writing this are Xenogears and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed, and I'm excited to move onto those now.

Not often does a game capture my heart quite like this. I had a stupid grin from beginning till end, and I couldn't put it down since launch. Every day, just thinking about getting back from class just to get a little further, just like I used to when I was a kid. It really did recapture the magic of the original whilst masterfully adding to it. Nothing short of a masterpiece. Writing this as credits roll at 2am, with my in game timer being roughly 90 hrs. I never expected this to be as content rich as it was. But I did all the world intel quests as well. Maybe I'll go for a platinum too? It really was that good that I might go for it.

Liked this game a lot. It's not as good as most of the other games, but for what it is, that being a psp game, it's pretty SOLID.

Great sequel. Loved all the improvements to the gameplay and the story in general was really fun to follow. Great music too. Really wish there was more games in this series. Definitely highly recommend the ZoE series.

What an epic. Man, I love Lightning. In general I loved this whole trilogy from beginning to end. Really grew attached to these characters. This game stressed me out at times because of the timer, but overall, it was a pleasure.

Replayed it through Retroarch for the achievement features. Had fun with it as always. Been on a real nostalgic kick lately for some reason. I usually dont replay games very often nowadays.

Mannnnnn that cliffhanger was a strong punch to the gut. Makes me want to start the next game immediately. But overall it was a pleasant experience. I guess the stakes are just gonna keep climbing now cuz bruhhh there was so much lore at the end.

Ahhh what a gem. Quite a few frustrating combat quirks that are just what this series is, but overall a fantastic story and a lovely open ended conclusion to Estelle and Joshua's story.

Pls play it. It's amazing. Binged it in a few days, it was THAT good. Itsuno delivered a banger with this one and I'm glad 2 got announced the other day. (Written right after the announcement of 2 lol)

Truly happy I finally sat down and played through it all. It seriously was one of the oldest games in my backlog and it was always painful cuz I always wanted to know how the story ends. (got to disc 3 as a kid and lost save file) This is now confidently one of my favorite FFs. Just behind X.

(Written shortly after release) I think this might be my new favorite game of all time? This was seriously beyond anything I could've imagined. Superb experience from start to finish that I don't think I'll ever forget.
