This game was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Bringing back my favorite characters with references dating all the way back from FC, my favorite soundtrack in the entire series, returning mini games, fun gameplay, solid story, and those damn mech battles! Everything about this game kept me hooked and it was definitely worthy of a 100% completion after beating it once.

Probably the best gameplay out of all of them and…..the best story? I mean don’t get me wrong it’s a good twist and heart warming ending, but Jason was really THAT desperate? Eh whatever it gets a five star.

I’m…..speechless. This game made me glad I’ve stuck around the series for a long time, and I’ll continue to follow in Monolith Soft’s next masterpiece.

I’m surprised many didn’t like the beginning of this arc, after the other two. It felt like after the same game engine for five games, it was nice to transition to a more modern 3rd person view with enhanced gameplay mechanics and dungeons. I liked the cast and the world of Erebonia a lot too and the bits in each chapter where the characters have to learn to trust each other and solve their personal issues, something I think the crossbell arc lacked with its characters besides the main four, but even then some of them don’t fully develop until Azure like Randy for example. The games pacing is alright since it’s the first game in the arc. Just like FC, the plot really kicks in until the very end and encourages you to play the next game to see what happens and I jumped straight to cold steel II right after. Rean is a cool character and is distant about his own feelings, but man my only issue is his awful hair style, guy needs a haircut.

This game, Yu, and Yosuke are awesome. Dungeons are a big improvement from 3 and the new story and musics are nice too.

Love these two games and the added content! This series, shovel knight, and Megaman will always remind me how much I still enjoy fast paced 2-D plat-formers.

Azure Striker Gunvolt, but every time Sean Chiplock breathes, Gunvolt destroys every boss.

Honestly though this game is rad as hell and non-stop fun when going for higher ranks and switching between Kirin and Gunvolt. I’m not too concerned about the time skip and future for the series since I have a lot of trust in Inti for a lot of the games I’ve poured my time into including this one. Truly incredible plat-former with an amazing cast for the english dub and improved sprites and graphics similar to LA iX2.

I had high hopes after completing ZX which was definitely one of my favorite megaman games, but this was alright.

After the xenoblade series, I decided to check the trails series since it looked interesting, and this game easily became one of my favorites. The quartz and battle system are addicting than most rpgs, the plot sets up later events in the first game to keep you hooked, characters are memorable, music is amazing, and dialogues are very touching. I’m glad I didn’t start off with cold steel and I will definitely be playing each one until reverie.

I don’t know why everyone is sleeping on this game, I thought it was a good way to set up future stories and give us a good look at half the organization XIII members. Gameplay was fun in my opinion but one thing I probably hated was Sora and Riku lvl 99 grinding. Also you can’t 100% this game until you’ve watched the 358/2 days cinematic to unlock exclusive cards through calm bounties which is very weird.

I remember watching my cousins play this game as kid and thought the game was amazing. Finally getting into the series I can say I enjoyed it. 100% completion was a bit of pain, but I pulled through.

This game was the most fun out of all the other Gunvolt games for me. The game offers expensive DLC and unlock-able abilities that make the game re-playable for better rankings and time. I love the stage variety and additional hard mode with its difficult and frustrating challenge as if I was reliving the Megaman games all over again. However I think the hard mode should’ve been more of an option and not something forced for the true ending before they added an assist feature. I never look forward to these 10 hour stories, however LAiX’s story and final boss was really good and shows how it’s differentiated from Gunvolt entirely, and iX2 keeps that identity while improving gameplay mechanics and making an interesting story that helps me understand their direction even if it’s not as good as the first game.

My god the music and setting in this game. The idea of Gunvolt taking on a "what if" story to give the spot light to Copen is just genius.

I've played a lot of good plat-formers through out the years, but man when I heard about this game I wanted to play it. Fast paced action, music, and dialogue immediately made this game one of my favorites.

Definitely a game I'd recommend to those who enjoy diverse puzzles and thrilling combat. The game's ost is spot on and for a switch game, the environments and cut scenes are clean. If they plan for a sequel, I'd play it.
