i could've never IMAGINED what this game would be like in 3D (i sorta could) but i played this and i was all for it. it was surprisingly manageable and still fun to play on keyboard, which is AWESOME considering this was a game made in a week
everything about this game. everything about celeste is awesome. man. here's to some more years of climbing mountains and finding your true selves.

CAN'T BELIEVE IT. FIRST GOOD SONIC GAME IN LIKE 10 YEARS BRUH. THIS IS AMAZING
the game generally controlled well in open-world, the characters felt the most alive they've ever been since like, idk... 2000s sonic, the story was a very intriguing one, and there never EVER felt like there was a single dull moment while playing
the game NEVER got repetitive at all, which is kinda what i was scared about when waiting for the game to come out. the cyberspace levels (albeit the controls/physics being a bit jank) were really nice to do, and the open world was AWESOME AS HELL FR. THEY FINALLY REALIZED JUST BEING ABLE TO RUN AROUND AND GO FAST BEATING UP STUFF IN A 3D SPACE IS FUN.
AND THOSE BOSS FIGHTS??? HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOY THE ENERGY WE WERE MISSING FROM SONIC CAME BACK NOT JUST IN THE COMBAT ALONE, BUT THOSE FIGHTS AS WELL
AND i really wanna touch on the characters though bc i really felt that development. getting all the memory dialogues was a REALLY good idea. AND THOSE EGG LOGS? i feel like LITERALLY EVERYONE has grown as a character in this game一especially Sage who's like still fairly recent. and i feel like this game also made Roger a better Sonic as well, 'cause this is the most emotion i've ever heard from this man in this character...
the story was pretty interesting. like, i thought it was PRETTY GOOD, but it also felt off. i understand trying to put some stuff together to explain the existence of the Chaos Emeralds and stuff like that, but there was a point where i truly felt like things could've been handled a slight bit better... it did get me wondering some things though, like what parts the Ancients played in other parts of the sonic lore. cause like... was Chaos related to them in any way? bc they looked really familiar...

this game is truly awesome for what it is. sure, it had its low points every now any then, but it certainly didn't take away from my experience with it, and god DAMN does it have its high points too. if you were iffy about it, i'd certainly say you can be confident going for it now
plus, it's got fishing
and you can mod the game

P.S.: would also like to mention that although the marketing for this game was weird, all the HYPE around it was amazing. it really felt like the sonic community was whole for the longest it could've ever been since who knows when! the animations, the fan art, the music we were shown... MAN i'm gonna miss that time period

here's your reminder of everything you've been through in this series, except we turned it into an actual story and everyone you met along the way gets to help you out for real this time.
this game makes a lot more sense as... a game, especially once you've played/seen everything else in the series. i used to think this game was just an average kirby game but now it looks like so much more than it was before

this game, to me, is like if we took Triple Deluxe (gameplay and everything) and gave it a roboticized, industrial feel all over. it's a type of theme i personally think is REALLY cool, with all the cities and machines and stuff
alongside that, many things once again get called back, because it's not a kirby game unless we have slight nods to past adventures all over.
we got stickers that have sprites/art referencing different games that you can put on your robobot armor (that you legally obtained), new abilities and returning ones (THAT INCLUDES SMASH. THATS RIGHT. RESPECT FOR AMAZING MIRROR THATS WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR), and several physical references as well
it's also evident with the music, and SPEAKING OF THE MUSIC, OH MY GOD. I LOVE THE MUSIC. IT IS AWESOME. IT ALSO ties into the robot feel and i REALLY LIKE THAT.

i am so biased towards this game IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY BRO
everything about it was so cool: all the new abilities, the music, the references, all the secrets, etc. even the collectible keychains (which were really fun to try and get) were an awesome idea and the fact that some characters got their own sprites were clean af
this was the first kirby game i ever finished as a kid and i am perfectly okay with that happening bc playing through it a second time SOMEHOW HIT HARDER

this game was really fun to go through another time because i was able to notice a lot more things that were taken from previous games (like songs that i didnt even know were remixes and little details like how kirby can still headbutt stuff)

props to this game because i literally did not get mad once. there are so many things about this game besides the gameplay itself that makes it really nice to play
