Note to self: Don't play Animal Well at Jerry Garcia's

Pretty good story, nice music and nice art work.

The rest was okay.

At the beginning i was enjoying it more than Dead Island 1, but then it all went to shit later on because yet again this game is plagued by so many fucking bugs and glitches, it's so easy to get stuck and die and in turn lose money (Yes, you lose money in this game every death like the first one, genuinely one of the worst fucking things in this whole game, especially because 80% of your deaths will be from bugs.)

Apart from the bugs, dogshit game design, the story is really boring and never picked up anywhere. I didn't even do all the side quests like i did in the first one because holy shit these ones are so goddamn repetitive and boring and i genuinely just wanted to finish the game.

The maps in this game = HORRENDOUS, at times they expect you to go through a complex place with no fucking guidance other than a green circle, and the maps certainly dont help because there are no actual waypoint lines like other games so you are bound to walk into dead ends multiple times (i did). Also i fucking hated the boat in this game, obviously needed for the jungle since its flooded but those dumb fucking water zombies make it so slow to get anywhere.

Basically the only good thing about this game are the locations, the Jungle and Henderson is beautiful, but the feel and vibe of those beautiful places are completely removed when you realize youre playing this game and youre gonna go do some more repetitive shit filled with bugs right when you move from a beautiful location. When i first came to Henderson i thought it looked beautiful, which it really does! But i was instantly hit with a dreaded main quest where i had to walk back and forth making me stressed (in a genuinely dreadful way because of how repetitive this game is) which then took me out of the "wow this is beautiful" vibe and took me straight into despair and the feeling of dread making the location not seem so beautiful anymore.

The combat is a little bit improved, with a few more abilities for all heroes. I really appreciate the fact they added the "Staff" Because its genuinely the only hand weapon that actually feels fast, the others feel so slow but the staff is faster than every other hand weapon. Which made the combat more bearable, also had to resort to using guns later on because i got so fucking bored with the hand weapon combat even with the staff, but the staffs kept me going early on and when i had no ammo. Hand combat is slow as fuck is what i'm trying to say.

Obviously i've written a lot of shit about this game but i did enjoy parts of it, i will never make myself play it again though.

So many fucking bugs and on top of that whoever came up with the idea of losing money when you die i HATE YOU. It would have been fine if i didn't die to countless of bugs, but anyway. Story is go from here to there with barely any character improvement the whole way through.

I like the combat (sometimes) but the zombie gore is pretty shit, humans don't have the same gore as the zombies (I think it was too controversial back when this game first released) And my favorite part was definitely the locations, which were very pretty. My favorite being the resort and the jungle.

Edit (About 3 hours later?) After writing this review i began playing the Ryder Campaign DLC, which i completed in 2 hours and 32 minutes, on the same day as i completed the base game (April 25th). I was hoping Backloggd had a section for the definitive edition of this DLC instead of just the original one, which i won't review because it's not the same game in terms of bugs/graphics and even player models! (same story though). But honestly, this might have been one of the most frustatingly chore filled borefest DLC i've ever played? It's just even worse story telling where you do the same shit as the base game but some how WORSE. With dumb fucking zombies running at you so many of the times its genuinely impossible to focus on what some of the characters are saying or whats even happening on screen. But, i did like when it showed the survivors from the base game and having that small bit of continuity. So the Ryder White's Campaign DLC gets a 1.5/5 stars.

You unpack boxes and place the items from the boxes at the place you think it looks the best, rinse and repeat throughout the whole game.

Actually a fun and comedic game, it being so short but still having some fine puzzles mixed with the comedic stuff was great.

Just mid, pretty boring... Fun at times, rarely.

Its the penis to agar.io and its just as bad and boring.

I used to make WWE levels from July 2016 until July 2017. And when i have nothing to do i play some random WWE levels, because its genuinely fun to do some crazy cool tricks in this game. Also, me making those levels back then was the reason i started really learning how to build stuff in games, so i owe this game a lot!

The game is pretty addictive and fun, or at least it was until the devs went greedier than any other AAA studio. Please do not support them and PLEASE do not buy anything in this game. Pirate it, get the modded apk versions for bluestacks on your pc!

Only fun with friends, complete shit without. I am excited to see Elijah Wood as Green in the TV Series though...

as of writing this on the 7th march 2024 i am at the end of act 2 with about 130+ hours in my save file. this has stressed me the fuck out due to it being so fucking long and i do not have the patience to finish it anymore. will have it shelved for a few months and pick it back up when i am not burnt out by the game

The fact that there are so many fucking tryhards on this shitty ball game drives me fucking nuts why do you feel the need to team in a ball collecting game

Im not joking but theres a laptop in the starting area where you can use a browser to search anything up and watch videos, so the first thing i do is search up pornhub (For research purposes) and it works and you can just straight up watch porn in this game
