let's get one thing straight, no one fucks with me at galaga. I've held the high score at my local lasertag place for 4 years now

This is a much better game than the first one and I am now actually interested in the series. better art style, better levels, more balanced difficulty, better AI (most of the time, sometimes they refuse to revive you even if you're right in front of them) and a more interesting story. The one thing that I don't like is the chainsaw mechanic, it's super fun but every time you get shot it deactivates it, fair enough, but then it takes like a ton more button presses to rev it up again, even after you've dodge rolled. after playing this I now understand why this series stayed a staple of xbox after the first one.

best lego game as far as I'm concerned. yeah I know it's a compilation of the first 2 lego star wars games which I played on ps2 (plus the really shitty but fun DS port) but this is more than just a compilation. they fixed all the vehicle levels from the first game, they made characters from all the games playable in each other's universe, bonus levels of cut content and extra worlds, and the game is funny, really funny. being a kid and going through my favorite movies as silly lego characters while still keeping the same amazing star wars atmosphere complete with John Williams music was honestly amazing for little me. Even if it is a little too easy and I can beat it with my eyes closed.

I don't even know how to start. I can't think of a single game that's as playable and replayable today as it was back in 1996. the controls are absolutely perfect. Mario handles so effortlessly that someone with no skill can have fun just moving around with him, while an expert can do some crazy shit and pull off amazing stunts to beat stars. the atmosphere was perfectly crafted for the limitations and still has some of the most iconic tracks of video game history. it's also the perfect speedrunning game. there are so many different ways to speedrun because of how versitile the controls are and how open the levels are. It's more than just an important game that changed the way games were made forever, it still holds up on its own today and holds it's rank as my favorite video game of all time.

Great game? heck yeah. Best game of all time? not even close. I think this game gets too much praise sometimes and waay too much exposure on youtube but despite that, this game is still pretty amazing. It was revolutionary when it came out and there's still so much creativity to be had in single player or multiplayer. multiplayer on your own world with your friends however is such a pain in the dick. you have to do a lot of shit and watch hours of tutorials to open your world to your friends, or just pay for the realms mode. complete rip off imo.

I don't need to say much about this since super mario bros 3 is already a masterpiece, but this version has a save feature which makes it automatically superior

it's amazing how a simple pet simulator can have so much charm and effort put into it, but leave it to nintendo to make a game that would otherwise be shovelware into probably the best pet simulation game ever. so much content, a cool unlock system, tons of easter eggs and a great soundtrack by pikmin composer Hajime Wakai, I don't know who wouldn't enjoy this.

beautiful Graphics, great variety in levels, oozing with spooky atmosphere and one of the best soundtracks of the 16 bit era , however the only thing that keeps this from getting a perfect score is the difficulty spikes. not all of the NES era horseshit is gone from this game. hell if I didn't know about the hanging whip exploit, I would've never beaten the grim reaper. some of the difficulty spikes are truly horsehit especially towards the end but this is still one of the greatest games on the super nintendo

this is probably the pinnacle of cozy games next to animal crossing. a beautiful art style, controls and handles like a dream, so much content, a wondrous soundtrack and just such a relaxing atmosphere. A must have if you're a fan of cozy games and the best part is it's affordable and playable on damn near everything. I can't wait to see what else this game has to offer.

this is one of the SLOWEST horribly paced and tedious platformers I've ever played. I say Platformer because it's not really a platformer. it's more like half rogue like, half lego game? there isn't even a jump button. every single mission is the same with boring layouts and bland combat and I could not be assed to go any further in this game.

A cool reinvention of the 90s pc classic, Wolfenstein the new order creates some interesting lore and a cool alternate reality world (well cool in the sense of imaginative I don't think it would be cool to live in a nazi world). what made this campaign for me is the fact that instead of going the modern shooter route of making levels linear, they structured it like an old pc shooter where the levels are mazes and you have to collect health packs and armor to stay alive, but without all the backtracking and getting lost in identical locations. I will say that the narrative and the characters kinda held it back for me though. I wanted to see more awesome locations and less cutscenes and characters explaining motivations. I'm not against story games, but for this kind of game, I don't really care about long metal gear solid cutscenes or side characters, the levels are what kept me engaged and constantly having story interrupt it with boring villains I don't care about (except for Frau Engel, I really liked her) it what kept me from giving this game a higher score.

this is basically sonic adventure 3 let's not kid ourselves. everything bad about the first game is back, the terrible overworld, the buggy levels but even buggier, awful controlling characters, unfocussed story, terrible animations, boring pacing, honestly what can I say that hasn't been said already? the final boss took me an hour because of how broken it is. play it for a laugh but otherwise, this is one of the worst games I've ever played.

sonic adventure 2 Improves on pretty much everything from the first game. the story is more interesting, the levels are tighter, the shit overworld from the first game was wisely dropped, the multiple campaigns were condensed to 2, (3 if you count the ending one) and the soundtrack is also better. however, the knuckles and tails missions... why... why couldn't it just be sonic and shadow those levels are actually playable and fun. the voice acting/dialogue and animation is still pretty bad though. But this is a game I'd recommend playing if you're interested in the sonic franchise.

sonic fans are gonna crucify me for this, but this game in its entirety is not very good at all. some of the sonic levels are a lot of fun... and that's it. if this whole game was just sonic levels, this would've been a better game, albeit with kinda buggy levels but you could look past that. there's this AWFUL overworld and the path to the next level is super cryptic in an already empty world that's zero fun to explore. voice acting and animation that borders on laughable (came out the same year as metal gear solid so not a time period excuse) but good god, it's once you do the other character campaigns where shit hits the fan. people shit on big the cat's stages but everyone forgets how AWFUL Amy Rose is to control. she's so slow, her hammer stops her in place, she is the most UNSATISFYING character to control in a platformer EVER. BUT, the chao garden is pretty damn cool.

This Game is even buggier than sonic 06 if you can believe that. but good god it's so amazingly fucked and so baffling of a port that it's impossible not to play this and be entertained every step of the way. Even in it's awful performance, poor graphics and bit crushed music, it still somehow manages to emit that star wars atmosphere. if you're looking for a quality lego game, stick to the home console versions.
