2022

this is an excellent pack-in level showcase of the crank. only with the d-pad could be used as an alternative to the A and B buttons.

hey this secretly has one of the greatest end credits song of all time.

fun enough zelda-like. might go 100% some other time.

just completed this last night at the time of posting. Originally beat it on my old wii u, from a copy borrowed from the library. this is the only star fox game i've beaten so far (i dabbled in assault and 64).

i actually like it! it's a fun arcade game. but i do agree with most criticisms of the game. the gamepad/tv screen interplay doesn't add anything to the experience, and the gyro controls drift too much to be good, only fine. i think the game would be better if you remove the gamepad stuff and improved the gyro controls (like in a switch port i guess).

I hate sliding puzzles but i liked this game.

I did it.

I always planned to play this. I thought Earthbound was great when I first played it on the Wii U Virtual Console, and I knew I wanted to get to it before Deltarune fully released, since I'm pretty sure it's in conversation with Mother 3. Eventually, I finally did it. I don't remember what caused me to finally start the game. Maybe it was the Deltarune Valentines event that reminded me I needed to hurry up and beat it first.

I took a long break from the game because of the Attic dungeon, but once I returned I had much smoother sailing.

I was worried that the ending wouldn't hot for me since I got spoiled a long time ago. But, despite knowing the twist, it still got to me.

I can see why Nintendo wouldn't want to localize the game. I don't think they want normal people to know about it. But I think they someday will. I think the most likely thing they would do is to make it a timed exclusive. Maybe shadowdrop it so that only the Fans would see it. No way they would use the Mato translation, but there's that book coming out with the dialouge of all the Mother games, including an English release...

Played on RetroArch mGBA on Steam Deck, with the Mato translation.

way more finicky than pikmin 3, but pretty rewarding to win at.

i don't like the way you select pikmin. it's based on whichever one is the nearest, and will change without your consent. it's pretty annoying when you don't pick up a pikmin even when you're near them, since you get no feedback. at least pikmin 3 had an indicator.

when I tried to fight the armored beetle, I thought you had to throw a bomb into its nozzle when it was sucking to blow up its hard shell. It turns out you had to throw any pikmin in so that they block it and make it open its weak point. but throwing bombs into it doesn't do anything, so I thought I was doing it wrong. I had to look it up.

technically I haven't tried all the challenges but i'm counting this as mastered as far as i'm concerned.

an alright vr experience promoting the last jedi arbitrarily sponsored by nissan. just wanted to look at star wars droids and figured it would be short.

they gave this away for free. fine little "the room" clone. i made a steam input profile so that i could right click (back out) with the back buttons.
