the art is goregous, the enemies are cute, the music is great (the classic village theme has a touch of somberness too).

i kept switching between the classic and remake graphics and music. they really did a lot in the remake. i wish i could play with both at the same time.

Played on a Hyperspin/MAME machine at college

Shocking: april fools visual novel actually sincere and not a joke dating sim

one time i heard someone say that the 2.5D n64 goemon game was the type of platformer where you could never stop moving and not get hit of you were good enough. i think this game also has that, but in 3D. played with the crt filter on.

fantastic collectathon flow. feels great to zip around and collect things and be scanning the environment for more

how come the funny gross out 90s cartoon ren and stimpy ass game featuring mort the chicken from ps1 has one of the best final boss sequences ever.

compelling platformer, easy to get sucked in. lot more alcohol references than i expected.

cool little story. also yes, you can still see the whole story after the eshop closure:

- download game and DLC
- play as normal
- buy the game
- if you get the successful purchase animation, continue
- if you get an error that game is no longer available, move on. you won't miss out on any dialogue
- go to home and try to open game
- if you had a successful purchase, you should be able to play as normal
- if you get some form of error: quit game and reinstall the DLC. it will work again when you boot it up

also works with the non-story games. keep haggling and don't just buy the games at full price just because you won't be spending money anymore.

Recommended playstyle: controller in one hand for analog movement, mouse for everything else.

saw that one image on twiiter about not getting chicken from tesco so i decided to do this.

i had a great time! there's not much better than a fast-paced joke delivery rpg.

Good platformer! Took a big break in between because the second trip levels were a lot harder compared to the first run, and you have to collect a lot of batteries to get to the final boss. It's a bit exhausting. when the abnormal mapping podcast said they were going to cover it, i decided to hop back in and finish it up. I ended up just buying the last 5.

Alright adventure. At least I didn't have to consult a guide.
