Interesting puzzle game that hasn't really stuck to my memory. In my opinion it's not worth the asking price, but it is worth a buy when it goes on sale if this type of game seems interesting to you.

As of now, only 19.4% of the game's players have the achievement for finishing the first chapter of the game. I am not one of those players. The game's difficulty drove me off before I could enjoy some hard platforming. Maybe I need to Git Gud, but the fact that so many players have abandoned the game before finishing the first chapter speaks volumes.

For a bit of context, the last time I played this game was in 2016, when it was still not fully released (I even have a bugged out Steam Achievement that doesn't exist anymore). To some people this review might be unfair because of this, but that was my experience with the game. I remember being really interested in the game's atmosphere and it evoked feelings of fear/anxiety as I struggled to survive. At one point, I encountered a deer, and the game crashed. That meant that my run was dead and I had to start from the beginning. I was not happy about that, but I started a new run, in which the same thing happened again. I closed the game after that and never opened it again. It's been a long time since then, and the game is now fully released so I should give it another try sometime, but until then, this is my experience with The Long Dark.

I played a little bit of this game back in 2014, and I remember actually having a decent amount of fun. Since then I have never come back to it, indicating that it wasn't a very special game and I would much rather play other online shooter games.

I dropped the game after playing for about 30 minutes. I really didn't find it very interesting, since the gameplay seemed bland and the atmosphere didn't grab my attention. This game has got a lot of praise so I should probably give it one more shot, but as of now, I have no intention of doing so.

We had lots of fun back in the day, playing this game with my friends. A Co-Op shooter that holds up really well, even after 10+ years of being released. I believe it's safe to call this game an all-time classic.

I had a lot of fun playing this with my brother, although we never really finished it. I came back to it a couple of times to play it with different people each time, but none of those times were as fun and interesting as the first one. I believe the game is meant to be played and finished with the same 2 people, and playing it again with someone else will simply ruin the experience for the player.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game, both gameplay-wise and story-wise, although the story is obscure and requires additional attention from the player, after a first playthrough.

Bought this game and played for 40 minutes before I was bored and closed it, never to be opened again. Definitely should give it a second try because the premise looks really interesting and it seems like a game I would enjoy.

Apparently I have played 3 hours of this game, of which I have zero recollection. Since other games have stayed in my memory for far less playtime, I think this game was not memorable enough for me and thus this rating.

I played through this whole game with a friend of mine, who is not really into gaming but wanted to have fun with this one. The game is actually really accessible to players without much experience and it was all-around fun. The only problem I have with the game is the story, which depicts two soon-to-be divorced parents of a single child being stuck in this imaginary world where they have to solve their problems and get back together in order to return to the real world. In the end, after they go through a lot of adventures together, they seem to have fallen in love again, and the game ends implying that they get back together. My friend and I really thought that this outcome was cliché and unrealistic, and that some times it's better for couples to split up.

Realistic FPS that I played with my friends a while back. We didn't really stick to the game, and I couldn't tell why, since we played a lot of CS:GO then. I guess it's not really my cup of tea.

I love and I hate this game at the same time. It is a story-based deckbuilder that has a really unique style to it. When I moved on to the second act, I was pleasantly surprised with the change of the game and I kept gasping at the game, thinking "how many more twists is this going to have?". The final twist this game kept for me though was an underwhelming story that offered no closure, due to the way the developer of the game chose to present it. It was like I got half a product, an unfinished story for a finished game. I kept playing the Rogue-like mod for the game, but the bitter feeling never left.

It's been a while since I beat this game but I remember having lots of fun with it. Nothing too special, just a charming atmosphere, a fun combat system and satisfying controls. Overall a game I would recommend easily.

Fun take on an old childhood game we used to play. Not really my cup of tea, but if you enjoy parkour-type games then this may be for you.
