I don't know what people are talking about, this game felt like doing work I don't get paid for. They replaced all of the stuff that makes these games fun with tedious combat, I had to force myself to keep playing this because I paid full price for it.

still very disappointed at how this turned out. Delayed for a long time and still came out with very boring gameplay and mission design that prioritized just fast travel desolate backdrops from place to place until the parts of the movie happened. Why are there no enemies? Why are some character classes locked for a while so you can't even explore and get collectabiles? There was also this really weird glitch which caused the visuals to stop and for my screen to go blank. Yeah man this game stunk. Such a shame. I tried to give it a chance multiple times but I think I'm done with it for good. 1.5 ★

Worse than the original in every way except graphics

It is really hard for me to rank this game like this. But this game is just a catastrophe. I've been a "hardcore" lego games player since Lego Star Wars (ep IV-VI) from PS2 and I have no idea why this game exists. So, you like lego games because you destroy a lot of bricks and build new things? You won't find this here. You like lego games because the story missions have puzzles, challenges and funny stuff? You won't find this here. Every, I've said EVERY main story level is basically the same: you run to a point, press confirm, watch a cutscene, run to another point, kill few enemies, watch another cutscene, confirm, end, credits. Every. Single. Time. The only good part about this game is the number of characters and planets.

I'm down to plattinum this sh*t, but this game is not worth the price.

The definition of quantity over quality. It's a wonder they even bothered adding story levels to this, it's clear that nearly 0 effort was put into them whatsoever. Maybe if they scrapped them then the open world side missions could've been more than just fetch quests that have you going back and forth between planets with a terrible tracking system. The sheer amount of bugs as well as lack of QoL features is inexcusable, especially so long after launch.

Where the game does shine and is actually fun is when you're exploring each open world planet, making your way through the collectables with a BotW/Scribblenauts type of 'make your own solution' approach. Even this wears thin eventually though as the same puzzles are repeated over and over and the rewards for most missions are joke characters just made up for the game.

The humor does land a lot of the time, but man these games had so much more charm when they didn't talk.

I wanted to like this so badly, but i really just could not get into it. The missions just feel like such slogs to get through, the menus are clunky and unintuitive, and even the combat really isn't fun enough to help me look past it. +1 star for a great sense of humor, and then -1 for terrible crunch for staff.

I ripped up so many legal documents

Overall a very enjoyable game, my only grips with it the price for how much you get (15 bucks for a game that can be finished in less than an hour), the puzzles were way too easy, and some of the dialogue was just too memey for me taste.

But yeah overall it's pretty good.

It promised a building full of cats and that's exactly what I got.

Rain

2013

Rain is one of those games that hit all the right notes for me personally in terms of audio-visual presentation as well as themes. The game has a number of flaws when it comes to the gameplay and some of the simplistic design choices that would have, under any other circumstances, received a lower review/rating if it wasn't for its excellent presentation and themes.

The European 1920s/30s setting along with the night time and rain effects create a great charming yet intriguing setting that involve our two protagonists, a boy and a girl, who cannot talk to each other but rather use gestures and emotions to convey what they trying to do or communicate.

Gameplay can be calming or stressful depending if you are exploring, solving puzzles, or trying to use stealth to go around enemy creatures. The soundtrack in this game does a great job of adding to the experience by offering calming piano pieces to suspenseful tunes when appropriate. It is worth pointing out that some of the puzzle are on the simplistic side and the gameplay doesn't ever shine or offer anything outstanding but since the game is on the short side, this doesn't become a huge issue and the game never overstays its welcome.

Overall, I think Rain might not be for everyone but I know it was for me since it hit many notes in terms of its presentation and setting, making it one of my all-time favorite PSN games.

There's no other mario game where there's a ball themed level located in a giant mechanical mario's crotch so this one's a must play

This is weirdly really pleasant what the hell im so surprised
I didnt think that id enjoy this game so much but it's got free choice with which "zones" (basically worlds) you wanna pick first, there's just the fireflower and glide in this game but thats honestly all u rlly need and sometimes the glide trivializes levels entirely, the music is FINE and i actually love how there's some original enemies in this that really caught me offguard & hello??? gordos in mario? whaaaat the hell
i knew links awakening had some other nintendo refs in it but i was majorly surprised seeing a gordo up in this bitch

The game overall is pretty easy, you can get extra lives like air if you try even a little, which is good because with the copious amounts of lives and checkpoints and shit in this game i doubt this could rlly piss anyone off while playing. The bosses themselves are also original!! No koopalings or any shit like that, just fun little weirdo inhabitants based on the themes present here
the tree area has a 'branching' path thing going on which is cute :) the haunted house area has two secret levels in it as well that you can find, the turtle area has this crazy pinnocchio ass whale interior tht ur going through that actually gets pretty tight- infact the more water oriented ones are really most of where i've gotten hit tbh with you

And then macro world is!!!!! well!!!! I think its cool in premise mostly but doesnt really fall through that well, i think itd feel much cooler if the gameboy had more oomph but for what's there is impressive and charming really

Space area goes crazy because even though it's like only two fuckin levels i love the gravity stuff, but i do dislike how you cant really take advantage of the glide ability While in that zone, like... why???

And the final boss and what they do with Wario is really fun!! definitely the most tight challenge the game can offer :) im thoroughly surprised, very solid game and definitely high up there in my favorite mario games now. I think its honestly just the fact that it's a gameboy game and doesnt have new favorite tracks from me or that many fun power ups to handle that hold it back a little.

final thoughts: alex wasn't lyin u really actually can just go up mario's dickhole and there's balls everywhere and nutcrackers and all this other crazy shit, wario's wild for modelilng an entire man's urethra into a platforming dungeon but ya know maybe thats why he never tried to swing on him again.

Super Mario Land is a classic, and so is the sequel! Pretty solid gameplay, quirky level design, and also very short! The final level's huge difficulty spike wasn't the best though.

An improvement over its predecessor, an already solid 2D Mario title. It's less weird, and the soundtrack isn't as memorable to me personally, but it controls better, looks the part, has the great Carrot power-up that snaps the game in half, and introduces Wario, the best character in the series.

The insane difficulty spike of the final level is something I hope the people responsible for are held accountable to.
