Refract Studios' Distance is a racing survival platforming uh flying? Its very fun, fast and pretty.
The player is to drive through these high speed tron like courses to get to the end of the stage. Its pretty straight forward and easy to understand. The best part of it is that there isn't just one campaign or story as there are several along with community support for more courses.

The controls and gameplay feel smooth through the flips, flying and driving and the presentation is downright breathtaking . There are tons of modes, including the randomized trackmorgify taking a page from Minecraft's book and the stunt mode is just tons of fun.

one other thing i think is cool is that if your car gets chopped up or damaged it stays damaged until you regen or die, affecting your ability to steer properly and what not which i just think is a cool addition that makes things just a bit more interesting.

the game has multiplayer, which from what I've played is fun but sometimes its hard to get an actual game in.
But the game is packed with modes and there's too much to talk about, its just a content filled game with fantastic gameplay.

If you're looking for a game that looks cool, feels cool and is cool, I think I've found your match.

Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup is a pretty great sports game.
Developed by EA before the Dark Times, its one of those examples of a good licensed title
For an explanation of how to play I'd just suggest watching the scene between Oliver Wood and Harry from the first film, as this game basically plays as if EA Sports were adapting this fictional sport to your home console.
To be honest this game while fun for me a Harry Potter fan is painfully easy at times, and I really didn't have a hard time beating it. The game does have a more difficult modes but its still rather easy. overall its still an enjoyable experience.
I think the presentation still works so well, Jeremy Soule, the John WIliams of video games knocked it out of the park with his soundtrack and the graphics still look pretty decent in the heat of the moment, but also the environments are downright amazing looking, some of my favorites are Japan, the Queerditch Pitch, and of course the Nordic Team's pitch.
Anyways, would I recommend it? Well, for a fan of the series, yeah, its an alright game that's super easy to get your hands on for real cheap, and has plenty of good ol' fanservice. For a non fan? yeah I guess if you find it somewhere pick up try it out, its fun, cool and nice to look at.

This game is also a rather nostalgic pick for me, as when it came out I spent way too much time playing the demo on my family's iMac.
Based on the Digipen student project Narbacular Drop, 2007's Portal is a puzzle game that utilized Half Life's approach to storytelling for a charming and well-designed first person_shooter uh puzzle game story experience... Its very strand like in the regard that its hard to explain
The game pits the player against this corporate testing facility, with a somewhat friendly but also emotionless overseer, GLaDOS who frequently has some rather, interesting dialogue.

"Well done, android. The Enrichment Center once again reminds you that android hell is a real place where you will be sent at the first sign of defiance."

The player is to utilize the aperture science portal gun to navigate through the different puzzling levels utilizing problem solving, attentiveness and good timing. The basics is this, one portal in, one portal out, or the other way around. The player has to think with portals, but the early levels of the game can get the player to start doing that rather quickly.
I do have to say the game is quite easy to run through, the puzzles aren't super hard and the game itself can be played in about 1 hour on average. But the charm comes in with its presentation. The cold and sterilized atmosphere of the game can feel quite oppressive, all while GLaDOS makes the player laugh with her hilarious dialogue and promises of Cake.

If you investigate further you may find that there is a much more sinister nature to the AI pushing you along, which you are forced to find out given you don't allow her to

SPOILER

murder you.
The final Level is a test of all you've learned through the game navigating the backrooms of the facility, and is a bit harder than the rest and is honestly the most fun in the game. Finally you come to the only boss fight in the game, GLaDOS herself who is not here to give you black forest chocolate cake. Instead she is here to kill you in any way she can shortly after you manage to destroy her morality core. after a few rockets here and a few cores there you have finally defeated GLaDOS and get to escape. Or do you?

Anyways, Portal is a pretty nice game, quite fun and quick to finish. A great puzzler to dust off every once and a while.
