Back when Zelda: Breath of the Wild Released, HOT TAKE WARNING: at the time but i thought it was a pretty mediocre Zelda game. In my opinion (at the time) i thought it was barebones the open world was great though and i couln't have been more happy to see possibly future entries be done in this genre, but i always felt something was missing in the game, every time i played the game i just didnt know where to go, what to do or how much i would enjoy it, i pretty much thought 70% of the map is baron with not much to do... That was... till The Legend of Zelda Tears of The Kingdom was announced about 4 years ago and i re-played the game on master mode and that gave me a new spark of hope lightened within me, i played botw again and very heavily enjoyed it again and it felt glorious, tons of stuff to do and things yet discovered, and a community (speedrunning, modding, etc) that inspired it's sequel Tears of The Kingdom.
although i was skeptical i was wowed at all the new stuff you could do in the game, every single gripe i had with the original was fixed, modified accordingly or became better along the way, i mostly skipped the text and story though i have gotten all memories and had a blast, new enemy varieties change up the gameplay SO much, the game's difficulty increased wich is a good thing in my opinion and the new ultrahand mechanics + other abilities made a ride i cannot reccomend enough TOTK is my game of the year, i can't wait for the switch 2 to release and have botw 3 there waiting for me to buy the same game again
