I'm genuinely surprised Tri-Ace fumbled this hard with Star Ocean. I'm not even a big fan of the older titles but even they were more fun and interesting than this pile of garbage

Better than First Departure for sure, but still has some issues that game had. I've also never seen an rpg with more useless magic users. Rena is great for healing, but the mages blow

The best way to describe this game is boneless Tales of Phantasia. It really doesn't have much going for it. The gameplay comes down to mashing a button to win, the story is barebones, and the cast is kinda bland. I know Tales of Phantasia didn't have the best story either but this game was just a snoozefest

The only bad thing about this game is Jet Stingray's stage. Otherwise X4 is peak fiction

The 2nd worst thing idiot systems ever made. Sticker Star forever has the number 1 spot
