This game having a near infinite combo you can do is really funny. It is infinitely less funny when the AI can do it to you. I think those 4 “survive until the time runs out” missions at the end of the Buu saga took years off my life due to this

Landfall games's yearly April fools game this year is a really well done clone of Lethal company that creates extremely funny situations via making the goal of the game to run right at the monsters and watch your friends die for views instead of running from everything. leads to a lot of really funny moments and has a surprising amount of monster and area variety for being just a small April fools game.

This game rules, Idk what else to say. Seeing what some of my favorite games were inspired by is really cool and I had a lot of fun with this one. Curious to see how the expansions for it go

This game feels like the dev team behind it only played the Elder World from the base game and decided they needed to ramp up the annoying aspects of it while also throwing 6 vores into every level. Not a big fan personally but I can see the appeal for those that may like that kind of thing

I feel like this expansion was made without how Quake like, works, in mind. Its trying to be a much faster paced shooter than what Quake was and I kinda wish it had kept the pace of the original. Its not terrible but its just not what I liked about Quake’s main campaign. I also feel like the further in the expansion goes the worse the level design gets even if the actual aesthetic is much more in like with base game quake than Scourge of armagon was. I think over half of episode 2 is just “press 4 switches to unlock the final gate” which felt insanely repetitive. Also the final boss just, is borderline nonfunctional. Its just extremely boring except for the one time you get hit and lose like your entire healthbar; which you can then immediately refill. I just don’t think this was designed very well is what I’m trying to say. If a few things were changed it could have been something; but as is Dissolution of Eternity is just almost fine but leaning more towards just kinda bad.

There is so much I want to say and so much I could say about this game, but I’m not sure I have the words to describe properly just what this game meant to me on a grander scale so I’m just going to say this:

This game reminded me why I wanted to make games in the first place. There is no higher praise I can give anything than that.

Really fun multiplayer game with friends, forgot how fun it was to actually just have a co op shooter with friends that doesn't require you minmaxing loot to hell and back.

Note: This review was made while the game was still in early access, if you're seeing this the game is either still in early access or I just haven't beaten the game if its fully released yet.

Stop Dead is a really fun game, most of the time. The second to second gameplay is really smooth and a ton of care was put into the standard level gameplay systems. I also greatly appreciate how each run is really quick so if you mess up and die a restart doesn't hit you quite as hard as it could in other games. Insanely good level design, weapon variety, enemy variety, I love most of the major aspects of this game's gameplay. I just wish the boss fights clicked with me better. Those are currently my biggest sticking point with the game and over half of my 4 1/2 hours i've put into this was just getting stuck on those bosses. I don't think they're designed poorly though, just kinda over tuned. Outside of having insta kill attacks, those genuinely annoy me but that's not something exclusive to this game. Outside of gameplay the game has a really strong artstyle, some good music, and a story that has kept me interesting in seeing where its going.

Overall I'd say definitely give Stop Dead a shot if you like quick movement shooters. Its a game I enjoy a fair amount but just have some issues with the bosses that I personally can't ignore; but who knows maybe you won't mind it as much if you give it a shot

I was stuck home sick today so a friend sent me this and and I ended up playing it for 10 hours. Whoops. Really fun, love the way progression works since it feels like Slay the Spire. Also a big fan of how unlocking pokemon works to use in future runs. Overall really cute way of turning pokemon into a roguelite

In every aspect, this game manages to make the first one look like a prototype. I wish so bad that this game wasn't trapped on the xbox because it is phenomenal on every level. Skating feels more natural, the soundtrack is firing on all cylinders, every level looks insanely cool. Must play game if you get the chance.
