Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (2024) is a fantastic remake of one of the most beloved games of all time. The graphics have recieved a beautiful overhaul, and the game has gorgeous new lighting, and a variety of quality-of-life enhancements.

I found myself laughing out loud many times during this adventure, as the writing is witty and never misses a beat- but there are some decently hard-hitting moments in here too. I found myself caring a lot about these characters and this world by the end. It does a fantastic job applying a great deal of personality and charm to the mario universe.

The gameplay is bogged down by some harsh backtracking here and there, and some pacing issues, and some strangely boring and uninspired level design (why are 90% of the areas straight lines??) but nothing too crazy in the midst of what is otherwise a fun time. This game stands as proof that nintendo needs to hurry up and make another TRUE mario RPG.

A Splatoon roguelite is something I didn't know I wanted until now. Side Order is SO much fun, extremely replayable, and full of fun stuff to find and collect. It's core loop is extremely strong, and its the most fun I've ever had with a Splatoon singleplayer mode.

Unforunately, the story here is very barebones. There's some neat lore to uncover and an interesting premise behind the story- but ultimately it expands on very little of this. I felt let down by its narrative offerings after seeing what Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion could pull off- which had some extremely powerful moments.

Overall though, for a DLC, Side Order is insanely fun and worth your while, assuming you like roguelikes.

Time never waits. It delivers all equally to the same end.

Persona 3 Reload is a phenomenal way to experience one of the best JRPGs of all time. It's a game with such strong thematic cohesion that it makes me cry just thinking about it. This remake does so much to enhance what the original PS2 game did- it refined its dungeon-crawling gameplay, gave it a beautiful facelift, added so many meaningful additions to both the social life and battle system, the voice cast is incredible, the new link episodes were all great, i could go on.

Characters in this game still feel the best they've ever felt in the Persona series barring maybe 2. They grow, improve, reflect, and learn from their pasts. They all have meaningful character development along the way, thanks to their resolutions not being tied to their social links.

Persona 3 is not about death, it's about life. Spend every day you have to the fullest- make the most of your limited time here.

So don't be afraid of death. Recognize that it is a part of life- and life is beautiful. Embrace it.
Burn your dread.

This game is special. Persona 3 isn't about death, as you might hear people say- quite the opposite in fact. Persona 3 is about life, and accepting that mortality is part of it. Incredible characters, top tier soundtrack, and the first game to do the calendar system that is a staple of persona today. Tartarus is grindy and the AI party members might not be for everyone, but if it clicks with you, it REALLY clicks with you.

One of the most underrated games on the switch. Combat is some of the most fun I've ever played in the action genre. Story falls a little flat, but it makes up for it with the extreme amount of depth and nuance in its action combat.

It's everything people say about it and more. Mother 3 is absolutely the top of it's class when it comes to giving you a funny, heartwarming, and emotionally devastating experience. The fan translation is incredibly high quality. This game is worth your time, even if it might not be worth Nintendo's time to localize. Play it

OMORI is the kind of game that only comes around once and a while.

I was absolutely floored upon finally finishing the game. It's an incredibly sad and heart-wrenching tale of friendship, mental health, and growing up. The art and sprites are gorgeous, the music is amazing, and the story has a massive amount of depth. I fell in love with the characters remarkably quickly, the cast is phenomenal in every way. It knows when to be silly, and when to be serious. It knows when to crack jokes, and when to pull punches.

OMORI is absolutely an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Very pleasantly surprised with Sonic Froniters. I heard good things, but I was still skeptical when I went in.

Overall, I had way more fun than I was expecting to going into this game. It's not perfect, it definitely has flaws, but I must commend what Sonic Team has done here. If they continue with this formula for the franchise, this series can once again be one of the kings of platformers.

A very solid and competent follow-up to DOOM 2016. Combat was so much fun from start to finish, but in my opinion suffers a bit by giving the player too many combat tools to worry about at once. Overall an extremely solid game.
