Yume Nikki ranks among my favorites of all time looking back after having played it for a number of years. What I adored about Yume Nikki was the music, worlds, and imaginative art direction all encompassing the themes of isolation. If the "Top 10 Scariest Video Games" and "Video Game Creepypastas" initially piqued my interest due to Uboa, I stayed for the atmosphere and the other unique oddities that make Yume Nikki stand out among other RPGMaker games; or even other video games outside of the RPGMaker space. Despite the fact that this game hasn't been updated in years, many developers who came after it dabbled in the same idea such as .Flow and Answered Prayers. And, there is even a fangame that is still being updated to this day by contributors called Yume 2kki and is forty times larger compared to Yume Nikki and I highly recommend if you end up liking Yume Nikki and want more to give the games I mentioned above a try. I absolutely love this game and I hope you decide to give it a chance too.

Honestly better than what I remembered but my previous review still is mostly the same but oh my goodness the special stages were awful. While it is challenging to get all the Chaos Emeralds I had so much fun playing Sonic 2 the second time around.

Somehow one of the worst mascot kart racers I have ever played. No proper drifting mechanic and camera is locked on a certain view while driving making it very disorienting while making turns or even drifting but not like it matters because no matter what difficulty you put the CPUS are easy regardless. Avoid this game and it isn't even worth it if you like the smurfs or mascot kart racers. Besides, I believe the only original smurf of the game has voice acting. This game is frustrating and boring. There are much better kart racing games on the original Playstation than this one.

This was a rough start for the franchise sure in retrospect. However, I enjoyed the challenge of playing through this and I am so thrilled to say I finished Sonic the Hedgehog. I am so glad this game proved successful enough to spawn a franchise because we would never have gotten more music, story, and or characters from Sonic. And most importantly we would have never gotten Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games lmao.

We are peanut butter gaming!!

When I started playing a month ago I didn’t know what to think of Sonic DX, when it finally came time to go from 2D Sonic to 3D Sonic made me pretty nervous during my Sonic binge playthrough of how I felt but after playing through it with all its jank I grew to absolutely love and appreciate this game for what it is. It has it's flaws but I hadn’t had so much fun playing through a game to completion and I can see why people would put this game in high regard. I played with Mod Loader so the experience with the PC version in its base form I didn’t get to play through but from what I heard from a friend, it is unplayable. Regardless, this game is a pretty good first attempt at making Sonic 3D and the characters are some of my faves! Gameplay though characters play differently and I didn’t like some of them which is a shame cause I think there is a lot of charm put into Big and Amy but the real highlight is E-102 Gamma which was personally possibly my favorite story from Adventure. Once you conplete the game’s story you can go ahead and collect everything which all I have to say is good luck because it was an experience (majorly taken up by Mission 53).
So in conclusion, I recommend this game but please mod it first before jumping in so you don’t hamper your experience.

And now, I am taking a break from Sonic before jumping into Adventure 2.

I have never been so disappointed with a game such as this one. I said to myself "Surely, if I really liked Transformed I would certainly love Sumo Digital's Team Sonic Racing"!

This game was such a let down. All of the tech from the last game was oversimplified in this game, the game has no sense of going fast at all, the items are generic and also seem to not help you at all, and the menu UI is so dumb and if I want to do anything other than online, customization, or tinkering with options I have to play through the story. By the way, the story mode is neat and all but I don’t play kart racing games for the story. Also beware if you play on PC that the FPS is going to be borderline unplayable unless you mess around with your graphics setting on your computer and also in the game settings options. I also especially do not like the new courses. The old updated courses are okay but nothing spectacular as they alter the map slightly. The new courses in this game however are not maps I really liked driving on as they are either to dark or hard tell what is or isn’t drivable. Despite the negatives, the postives I can say I liked was the new characters are cool! I especially like Blaze, Rouge, and also Chaos are playable racers and also that the customization is neat. Regardless though I think the game is awesome with friends but besides that this game was a massive let down and wholeheartedly for you to check out Transformed instead as it not only has more content but also is more refined gameplay wise.

And my final note is that I hope that the next SEGA kart racer has bikes again. I will miss Shadow and Ryo on a bike from the og All-Stars Racing.

This YNFG is what nightmares are made of.. I mean, look at my profile picture, surely you can probably tell that I look up at this game very highly. Give it a shot if you can if you are looking for something else to play after Yume Nikki.

.Flow takes everything you are probably comfortable with in Yume Nikki and flips it on its head and it is an innovator for many fangames after it. It has lore, horror, and intrique. You have rust to be careful of and the in-game monster known as Kaibutsu to worry about as they are out to kill you and are more terrifying than Yume Nikki's Torriningen as this game wants to try and kill you if you aren’t careful. I love this game and I hope if you are looking for a game to play after Yume Nikki that you decide to give .Flow a chance. You will not regret it.

This was an unfortunate disappointment for my brother and I back in the day. The game is okay but compared to the last two games it was a let down. Regardless though it is a fine experience and I think if this was your first Little Big Planet game I think I would not judge you for it. I did like the new characters and the addition of more layers to level creation but I remembered not liking an aspect of the story. I will try and remember it since its been a while. Regardless though, I will miss this series. ;(

This is the collection I am using to play the classic Sonic games because I dislike the plan Sega has for Origins and Sega's controversial decisions with that collection in particular though I as of right now I haven't played it so I can't say if things are better now or not. Besides that and back to this collection in hand, this is a nostalgic game for me and I had this copy on my shelf since I was eight and I have to say that the music and emulation are really awesome and capture the genesis really well! Also, I think the museum is really cool and I remember watching the few movies in the collection and admittedly I watched the trailer for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle the most though I never got the chance to got it then, I now own it on PC however! :D

Back to the review though, One thing I could say negatively is I felt the way to unlock games like Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Ristar to be really strict for some odd reason but I won't dock points for it though I wish this collection was in the oven for a little longer for games like Sonic CD, SegaSonic, and Knuckles Chaotix.

Besides that this is an excellent collection and I really recommend that you play this collection over Origins even if Origins is newer.

Biggest Yume Nikki game you could ever play with Mariana Trench deep connections and thirty-six effects currently in the 0.120 update. You will love this game and you will definitely not feel sad after finishing and doing absolutely everything that Yume Nikki has to offer when you have more to explore here due to countless user made worlds and contributions. You will love it if you are a fan of Yume Nikki Fangames.

I think I get the hype now that I completed Sonic 3. I love a lot of things about Sonic 3! The levels, the music, the presentation, and how it feels like a complete experience. Sure some parts are hard sure but they are fair and you can play through a level again because now we have save files so that is an awesome improvement because well I don’t have to play the whole game again lol. I think one criticism I have with Sonic 3 is the chaos emeralds are still hard to get but hey who doesn’t like a good challenge? This was an absolute blast to play through though I have played it on my Gamecube next time however I will probably play AIR or Complete in the future if I wish to replay Sonic 3. What an amazing game!

The difference between Sonic 1 and 2 are clear as day and night. The progression of how levels were designed vastly improved and the controls feel a little better especially with the spindash which became a staple of Sonic ever since and honesty, I much prefer Sonic 2 over Sonic 1 any day. While I really enjoyed Sonic 2 over Sonic 1 I think the three last game zones in Sonic 2 are pretty tough and had me stuck for a while but all in all a solid game and I would probably recommend you start with this one over the first one. You know, now that I am thinking about it so far the early classic Sonic games kind of mirror how I feel about playing through classic Mega Man in a way. Does this mean I will really like Sonic 3? Is Sonic 3 better than what I remembered as a kid?

Peak kart racer! I wish I could go back in time and redeem my Metal Sonic code though that I missed out on now that the Eshop is dead. :(

Okay, I am just wondering to myself why it took me this long to play Symphony of the Night? This is definitely the best Castlevania game and I can finally get the hype for SoTN. I played the previous Castlevanias on NES and never thought to play this one until now and I am glad I finally got to play it. The spritework, sound design, and art make me give this game a five out of five and I would easily give SoTN a ten out of ten if I could on Backloggd.
