A “what did I just play” ending if I’ve ever seen one. While the characters didn’t feel as strong and distinct as the first one, a lot of them stood out and were what kept me playing. Some of my favorites were Nekomaru, Gundham, and Ibuki (while she wasn’t great, Hiyoko was also a total standout just for how good her VA did). I probably won’t play v3 anytime soon but I’m looking forward to eventually playing it.

I don’t know who at Nintendo keeps giving WarioWare games an insane level of postgame content but I love you for doing it every time

An interesting work that I’m sure would’ve really impacted me if I played it when I was younger and didn’t know anything about it, but even playing it now I can respect how well written it is. The closest I’ve ever felt to reading a Douglas Adams book as a game

One of the coolest story formats for any rpg. I started this a couple years ago but finished it after Akira Toriyama passed away, RIP to a legend.

The graphical issues were at their worst in this one, and some of the side quests were frustrating, but that Terapagos fight was pretty fun.

I wish this had all the stuff from the other versions but it stands tall on its own regardless. Everything was done amazingly, and I’m shocked I actually finished it on March 5th without knowing the significance of that day in game lol

Still probably the definitive Tetris. No tricks, nothing special, just Tetris diluted to its purest form.

This really was almost a once in a generation game, and then Kojima somehow made the sequels even better. The controls hold up startlingly well once you adjust, and there’s nothing I can say about the story that can accurately capture how amazing it is. Amazing pacing, wonderful twists and foreshadowing, and the birth of the greatest character in all of gaming, Revolver Ocelot.

Genuinely one of the funniest games I’ve ever played, with quite possibly the most hilarious ending. The fact you have to do that puppy saving minigame like 3 or 4 times stops this from being a 5 star game. Highly recommend trying it and urging the Switch’s rewind feature to cheese past the puppy saving levels. Also like I said in my Earthworm Jim 1 review, the creator is a an ass, so that makes it a little harder to enjoy.

This game and the sequel are my biggest “I love this thing, too bad the creator is insufferable” take because this and Earthworm Jim 2 are genuinely amazing games! I love them so much, they’re so funny and imaginative! It really sucks the dude who made it is a prick, very painful.

Definitely tried more and I can respect that, even if it didn’t all work. A very fun final boss and some good levels, and a few infuriating ones. Really brought me back to the days when I just had a 3ds and some money to burn on fun little indie games.

What a story, man. Takes so many twists and turns yet isn’t too hard to follow and has a handy little glossary in case you ever get confused, which should be required in these types of games. The strategy part is also a lot of fun once you start unlocking more customization and start making broken characters. I think this is one of those RPGs that will stick with you when you’re done

Very short and sweet, does what it wants to and not much more. It very clearly took a lot of inspiration from mega man and one mechanic I wish they brought over was the slide. But it’s a cute game with a great post-game bonus

I wish the video still existed but I streamed this and set a world record speedrun of about 12 minutes. I will continue to call myself a record holding speedrunner.

Goes a little bit too hard for what it is
