Games where you learn a language

Games where you start out not knowing a (fictional) language and can slowly learn it as the game progresses. Not necessarily the main focus of the game.

Might write a video essay and/or bachelor's thesis about how this is handled in games so I would love to hear about more examples

In the first chapter of the King's Quest Reboot, you have to learn a few words and phrases to communicate with a foreign knight.

In Commander Keen III, you find a classroom on the Vorticon homeworld that has a cypher for the alien language you've seen throughout the trilogy, allowing you to translate the messages written everywhere. This one is purely optional.

the previous TES games use fictional alphabets and languages pretty scarcely so it was pretty cool seeing skyrim focusing on that aspect more

it even has a website dedicated to it!

To clarify, I am looking for games that gamify the process of learning the language in some way, not just games that have a conlang that you can learn

@cowboyjosh if you think I wasn't obsessed with the Vorticon trilogy during the mid-90s, you're sorely mistaken 😎
