Celeste was a pretty enjoyable platformer with an intriguing narrative. It got me hooked from the start with the crazy old women HA HA HAing at me.
I will admit I got more than angry at times with the precise platforming but once I'd figured out how a room needed to be done I was pretty quick to get through it and ended with 1290 deaths in 6.2 hours. Pretty good going I think.
In terms of story, I found it interesting enough with how Madeline experienced panic attacks, learnt to deal with them, and eventually tried to put her past behind her.
Definitely would recommend for people who either want a difficult platformer, a decent narrative experience, or both.

Well well well, after 11+ years I've finally beaten this! Pogchamp.
Blue Dragon is a classic example of a well-executed JRPG, it has everything you'd want from a wide range of classes to exciting boss fights.
I first played Blue Dragon as a kid but got stuck on one of the final bosses, I've since came back to it a few times over the years but never stuck it out. I decided to finally get through it this time and it was one hell of a ride.
It opens well but starts to slump towards the third disk section with needing to massively level other classes or just levels in general. However, if you struggle through this section you're rewarded with some of the coolest boss fights in the entire game.
Overall, I'd say if you enjoy a classic JRPG that's a little rough around the edges this is definitely a must-play.

Terrible, just terrible.
I've owned this game for a while and was really looking forward to it after finishing Dark Souls 1 but it was such a letdown. At first, the harden mechanic and harder-to-manage stamina are a welcome sight but soon the game devolves into a boring mess.
Boss mechanics are awful at best and non-existent at worst, difficulty goes from insane at the beginning to comically easy after the mid-way point, and everything else is just boring.
The game's only redeeming quality for me is its environments which are all unique and very picturesque.
If you're looking for your Souls-like fix I wouldn't recommend getting it here.
