very dungeon synth ass game. i cant believe i caught myself saying a game would be better if it had turn based combat

very exciting that somehow the elephant flash games i grew up playing on the family computer in the living room are coming back. i have a plushie of this little guy. i fucking killed him in yolo mode though

one of the more fun sports games on NES, though it runs at about 0.4 FPS and all the players are constantly flickering out of existence

this rating is based on my enjoyment of tetris, which im not really that good at. i think it is objectively a perfect game though

fun puzzle game. got about halfway through but my brain is not feeling like finishing it right now

got all the way to the penultimate boss and gave up. i like the early cutscenes and the game feels great to play, but the level design and enemy placements are so incredibly bad. why do the birds (the hardest enemy to avoid) do 3 damage when nearly everything else does 1

oh so i have to beat it again to beat it? ill kill myself first

AAAHHHHHHHH~~!!!!!..................................................................................................................................................................Get Ready

i have no idea where im supposed to go in the first level, and it controls so chaotically i didnt really have the patience to find out. attempted about 4 times before i just gave up

im completely satisfied
my other life i will not miss
an altered beast until i die
and i will not give up on this
NEVER!!!

i actually beat this one! was not expecting a cool little metroidvania, especially based on how bad the box art is for this. i wouldve liked this even more than NES metroid if there was any reason to explore at all (there really isnt). also it sucks that enemies dont actually show up unless theyre within a certain range of you, and that range is much smaller than the actual screen size

i can see why this is considered one of the better sports games on NES. i unfortunately dont even really understand how football works in real life so i have no idea whats going on

one of the best NES games buried underneath some bullshit
