Compared to Silent Hill 2 which I played first, I think this game spoke to me less, but still had a really strong story that I enjoyed a lot. Silent Hill 2 was more personal but this story was just as good from an outsiders perspective in other words. I also believe this game was slightly scarier and built tension better than 2 with its music and making random sounds in rooms with nothing there. It really impressed me with this as well as the thick atmosphere. I liked it a lot.
