I just played through this normally and I beat it in 3 hours and 20 minutes. Corners were definitely cut. A bit of a let down after the RE2 Remake and after I recompleted the RE4 Remake.

An absolutely amazing story that had me in tears by the end. Exciting set pieces left and right and your choices actually play a big role in the story compared to the base game.

A great game that needs some serious attention from Valve.
