The whole fake OS thing completely breaks the aesthetic and immersion, and the side stories are so totally whatever and OOC. Just play the free version.

Has a special place in my heart for sure, it's just a neat freaking game. Love the characters.

Good, but doesn't hit me in any particular way. Actually understands the appeal of the genre, which is strikingly rare =[

I just love watching people make impressive levels, there's something so deeply cool about it. The gameplay isn't particularly engaging and I haven't played with the music on for a while, lol.

Ridiculously exciting and creative chart design with a soundtrack that's....passable. In terms of raw charting it's the best rhythm game I've ever played, but it has a weirdly grindy song unlock system for a game that's totally free and a whatever story.

I played it for a bit and thought it was..fine, then never played it again. I don't really get the appeal of the mechanics, and the subscription based DLC is deeply cursed.

2012

So so good. I don't know, it just gives me this earnest happiness and immersion I don't get anywhere else, you can physically feel what a wonderful group of artists Rayark used to be.

Something so soulless and empty about its gameplay design. The dress up was fun for a bit but putting effort into outfits has no mechanical advantage, so eh. Awfully predatory moneywise, like holy shit.

Used to love it, but now we've broken up. The writers randomly started killing off characters and stuff cause they got bored or something, which was honestly pretty metal, but it's still fairly unengaging overall. Also yeah, you aren't going to get much of anything if you don't spend money.

I'm an enlightened JOEZ Cafe watcher, so I know this installment is 'one of the bad ones' or whatever but I have more than 100 hours on it (I mean I'm incredibly bored most of the time so that's sort of just cause I have nothing better to do, but still.)

A lot of really great stuff frankensteined with some total shit in a totally incoherent way, which constantly breaks my immersion in small ways. The reason its so shit is because they put all their budget into a garbage shitty broken gamemode that no-one wanted or cares about instead of actually adding more of the stuff that made people like the series in the first place. Also, the new filters make everything look like plastic and cover up all the pretty details of the clothing. Can you tell I'm mad? :3c

Didn't hate it or anything, but it's just so whatever to me.

Play for Kokichi Ouma and Kokichi Ouma only.

Well, there are some other good characters, and some unbearably awful ones (Maki) plus its pretty funny, but a lot of the character writing is pretty simplistic and unpolished, plus the FTEs Kodaka didn't write are actual shit.

I think it's valuable because it has a mechanic where you get to see the characters' sexual fantasies, and frankly we need more of that randomly inserted into fiction.

Look, maybe I'm just being petty, but this is just trash to me. The only worthwile character is Nagito fucking Komaeda and the rest are just TRASH. The trial writing fully goes to shit after chapter two, and the character writing after chapter three, but uh hey what TWENTY HOURS LEFT!!!!!!

Desperately tries to differentiate itself from the first game on a superficial level, but beneath that surface there's literally nothing, nada, empty husk.

My babygirl. I tried replaying it and got bored, so this rating is riding off of my original feelings towards it, but yeah, its one of those stories that only hits you if you're particularly primed for it.
