Started playing because I thought it's be a quick zombie building game, over in a day or 2. I was very wrong. While I was right about the core elements, there is a intriguing backstory buried among the rubble and multiple DLCs keep introducing new and fun elements to the game. Even in the endgame, I'd say I still have another 12 hours minimum left in it. Great way to waste time and still have fun.

If you've never played any of the slew of FF7 releases, this is a great abridged version to catch you up to speed. The gacha aspect really simplifies the gameplay, and not in a good way. It is unfortunately also the only way to experience the First SOLDIER FF7 prequel game outside of Japan.

This game was the original that really seemed to capture the "choose your own adventure" feel missing from so many games before it. There is a somewhat linear story, but every decision you make actually seems to have an impact. While not the best game to do it, it showed us what was possible.
