I wish Talwyn was the main character in search of her missing race.

The lizard-creature's scream used to haunt my dreams...

Pretty fun arena fighter all things considered.

Thanks for the existential nightmare...

So I just played about 6 hours through this game, destroyed a few hundreds of enemies including a handful of bosses and watched the full credits. Yup, tutorial is done, now let's get to the real part!

Playing Dynasty Warriors 3 is like eating chips. You know it doesn't bring you anything substantial, but you just can not seem to stop coming back for one more chip.
Yes, I completed this game and its extension (all weapons and objects unlocked) and it just left me with a feeling of emptiness.

I really don't know what to feel about this game...
There is obviously a lot to like here, but the game as a whole just feels so shallow and unfocused to me.
When it comes to the combat system, there is a lot of things like move assists, the poor sound design of enemies' attacks or even the RPG elements that rob the game of its depth.
Narratively speaking, the game seems to want to give a full picture about fatherhood, but treats Atreus like a robot dog in gameplay for instances, making him feel more like a tool than an actual person.
Yes, I did platinum this game, but it just left me feeling empty. And not the good "Face the existential dread dead in the eye" kind of emptiness, but the "I think I just wasted 60 hours of my life" kind of emptiness.

2010

Want a 2D platformer which is also a great metaphor and exploration of abusive relationships? Well this is the game for you!

Terrible execution and design. This game suffers from trying to apply the traditional formula of the series when it should have been its own thing.

This is pretty much "Journey" but AAA. Great for people who need to get back their faith in humanity.

Bugs moves a bit like a brick, but it captures perfectly the look and feel of the source material.

I mean... the PS1 didn't have Mario Party on it. This was a good enough alternative.

Sexy fighting androids giving you an extensive thesis on existential philosophy.
