This is the first Kirby game I have ever beaten and I liked it! It was a pretty fun NES platform game with fun levels and looks fantastic. This is one of the best looking NES games I've played with the detailed character design and the use of color along with amazing graphics. The game also has very good boss fights, and the last one has a lot of pay off when you finish it. I also like how the game progresses when you get through each level. It gets steadily harder as you steadily get better and more experienced with the game so I liked how it did that and the pacing is great. Some complaints I have are that I didn't think that the game was smooth at times. Things were lagging and the buttons wouldn't do anything at times which was a lot of pain making it pretty rough. It also got a bit repetitive making this a tad boring. In general though this game is fun and I recommend that Kirby fans play this to see where this franchise started!

This one was awesome. I really enjoyed playing this game. It was simple, but for me that really helps it. If I'm in the mood for a story game but not one that's intense or hard, then this would be my go to because it's simple, fun, and light. You could say it's like a 3D Mario game because you go from world to world battling enemies and doing the same amount of levels before getting to the boss fight with the main villain's minion until you get to him. It's not a rip off, it's just similar. The repetitiveness doesn't affect me because it switches it up a bit with new landscaping, layouts, enemies, and stuff like supercharging to make the game more exciting. I think the worlds in this look beautiful. The design and layouts are amazing and I thought the graphics were top tier. This looks different from the PS1 version because updated graphics and everything, but this is a remaster/remake. The worlds are all creative with the enemies and levels too. I thought the enemies were well thought out because they get harder each world and the weapons they have are imaginative. It's a lot of fun fighting the various enemies and figuring out how to beat them. It gets easy when you figure it out, but it's still fun nonetheless. The characters in the game are also cool. Spyro is a very fun lead for the game and Gnasty Gnorc is a fantastic villain. He is the perfect antagonist for Spyro's first adventure. He's not too hard, but not too easy either. You can't really face him off and be successful unless you play through the game and learn stuff. It's well made and just a lot of fun to play. I only had a couple problems with this game which is great! I thought that the Gnasty Gnorc boss fight was pretty anticlimactic, so when you play through the game it doesn't really have pay off because Gnorc is just like chasing the egg thieves, so the only real redeeming factor is that you beat the main story. I also felt that it could've been executed better. It doesn't necessarily feel as much like a story as much as it is rescue dragons repeatedly. Mario platform games have that story of rescuing the princess and it feels progressive, while this just feels the same as it goes on. Despite those things I had a lot of fun rescuing dragons and battling various enemies going through these fun worlds. I enjoyed the obstacles and layouts to make a fun game. I feel like if they fixed those two things then this would be a top 5 favorite for me. I had so much fun with it and I plan on revisiting it. So excited for the other two in the trilogy!

I really really enjoyed this game. It has a low score on here but I think it should be higher. I thought the game was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the characters in the game. I really liked playing as Nathan Drake. He was a really strong protagonist and a lot of fun to play as. Elena and Sully were great side characters too. The pacing in this works well. It goes quickly but not too quick. It let's us spend time in certain areas to gather information to move forward in the adventure. It gives time to explain things and it uses it's time wisely. The cutscenes are all at the perfect length and I thought that when you were playing it had the right amount of combat and exploration. A common complaint in this is that there is too much shooting and less exploration than the following installments, but I didn't mind that. I thought that there was a lot of suspense in the constant combat and that's the point of the game. You're stranded and people are hunting you. That's what it says in the Backloggd description. Whether you are fighting mercenaries or another type of enemy that I won't spoil, there is a lot of suspense, and horror with the other enemy, to make that combat a lot of fun. The constant combat makes sense with the story of you being trapped, and I really like that story. It's a lot of fun and you want to learn more about what is happening so it gives you the draw in for the game immediately as you start playing, and it gives you a lot of interesting mystery to figure out. There are a lot of visual details to help you solve the mystery, and this would've been a lot harder without the visually striking graphics. The production design looks great and I enjoyed spending time on this island and lost city through this story. The characters also look ahead of their time for 2007. This game looks the same as Black Ops 1, and that came out 3 years later. The locations in the game are another thing to talk about. I loved the various locations in the game. They brought character and they were memorable making this game even more enjoyable to play. Some people say the game is boring, but I disagree. I think the game has excellent pacing, striking graphics, fun characters, an investing story, interesting mystery and a lot more to make this one of my favorite video games. I'm extremely excited for the sequels to this!

Easily the best Mario game I've played to date. Better than Mario Kart, Mario 3 and the original one. It's just fantastic. The levels are super fun and an improvement on Super Mario 3. They are all super fun to playthrough and the designs are fantastic. The gameplay is also very smooth. The graphics in the game are also just great. This is the best looking Mario game from the retro ones. Easily. It's just so much fun to play and the end to me is the most rewarding ending of the Mario games.

Wow. I really enjoyed the first Mario. It was a lot of fun to playthrough and I return to it quite a bit. Super Mario Bros 2 on the other hand wasn't very good and I had to abandon it. This one though was a very very fun playthrough. I loved all 8 worlds -some more than others- as they provided a bunch of fun in each of them. They all provide the same platform adventure with great enemies and power-ups but they are each unique in their own way to make it fresh and new for each world. My favorite world was probably World 4 or 5. The game is very memorable as well. I remember playing so many levels throughout the past days. I also thought the design in this game was really good. The maps for each world were good and I liked how you moved on them. It didn't take forever at all like New Super Mario Bros Wii. The graphics in this game are also phenomenal. This is probably my favorite platform Mario and I heard Super Mario World is even better so let's see!

I was promised by Backloggd that this was going to be better than the first but AHHHH I didn't like this one. I thought the controls in this were very stupid. You can only kick backwards? That's dumb. It also changes controls every time you face a different direction. One second I'm pressing A to punch and then it decides to kick the air backwards? I found the gameplay smoother in this than the last and the look is better. I think the mission cards are also better since you can skip them. But overall I think this is not very good. It doesn't have anything fun in it. I think the first is a solid guilty pleasure beat 'em up game, while this is just pathetic.

Played on Switch but it's not an option

After many times of starting this game but not going back to it, I finally made it through a full playthrough. I started it yesterday because I went "you know, I should play the Metroid games because Metroid Dread came out a month ago", so I did. This game is definitely a genre defining game, or really just a VIDEO GAME defining game. It revolutionized video gaming and brought things to a whole new level. Nintendo literally made Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, and Metroid in 1985 and 1986. That is extremely impressive! I don't think this game has aged particularly well, but that doesn't mean it's not a fun ride! It is difficult but it is an NES game. I really only had two major problems with the game. There weren't any nitpicks. Just those two. I know it's because of the technology they had back then, but the game lags. Whenever there are a lot of enemies on screen, the game starts to go very slow. The simple solution is less enemies, which is my other problem. I'm not saying that because of difficulty, I'm saying it because of the lagging and how it effects the game. When it lags, it made it harder to move Samus resulting in random death because Nintendo wanted many enemies. As much fun as I had with it, I respect it more than enjoy it. With all it did to video games as a whole, I have to give it bonus points. I think it is a must play, but I can completely understand the complaints for the game.

WOW! This is a great game. It has great parkour and adventure for all around fun. It's got great stages to challenge you and then the controls and gameplay are fantastic. Highly recommend!

The classic duck shooting game that inspired so many video games. It's a lot of fun and very well made. It's a nice premise and just a lot of fun. I hope they put this on the Switch NES Online thing.

I find this game to be a lot of fun. I can pretty much do anything with all the characters I love. Favorite game period.

EA really messed up here. I really need to play the older two Battlefront games someday which are supposed to be better and I sure hope so. This game isn't good. The gameplay is extremely rough making it difficult to play, and not in the fun way. There is a bit of lagging in it and it takes WAY too long to load. There aren't enough fun modes in it and the way they developed the style of this game and the various modes wasn't great. The graphics and sound are stunning and the score is amazing as it takes music from John Williams original movie score so at least there's that. It's not entirely terrible, but I wouldn't recommend this game.
