This is a pretty good game. Fun time playing a new 2D Sonic game that doesn't rely on old ideas entirely and does something fairly new. Hopefully the messy bosses can be patched. For now, it's just a good time playing new levels with a familiar and strong core gameplay system.

I may need time to adjust to the additional content this game has to offer but the base here from start to finish was a really fun time. Great combat all made possible by the style system, great bosses save for one very late in the game and a cute story that wraps up nicely. Fun experience, especially after seeing where the series came from.

Bad collection but good games are in it

I was more positive at launch and as time went on I realized this game is not good and made me no longer care about sonic. The gameplay, the writing/overall story, voice acting, animations, lore. Almost none of it is good, most of it is bad, the rest is just ok. I'll play future sonic games whenever I play them but that's about it.

Bad. Beat it in a couple hours, sonic fans exaggerate the challenge here. Most of the "hard" stuff is just bad design and it's still fairly easy. Towers were fun. Rest of it is just more bad/mediocre gameplay, story and everything else in-between. Just more Sonic Frontiers.

This definitely is a game and it's kinda fun too. The mechanics can be fairly interesting and I feel it's the later stages that really start to push how creatively it can be used. With that said I think this game suffers a lot in terms of combat and unnecessary loads of enemies. Sometimes it feels like this game's main inspiration is a bad mega man x game but that isn't to say combat can't be fun. Some of the bosses I actually found fairly enjoyable...when they didn't insist on wasting time. That dragon boss is a prime example of a nothing encounter that just takes up time.I can see the appeal in the gameplay and maybe I'll like it more on a few level revisits.

I'd prefer to end there because this game's story falls into laughably bad and needlessly edgy with moments including torture and death that serve little to nothing but be there for shock value. Feels written by an edgy 14 year old and that's not great.

Freedom Planet overall, alright.

Very few words. This is just peak and an incredible end to a Xenosaga

If you're a fan of the Sonic The Hedgehog cast and have a computer, do yourself a favour and play this free game. One of the most charming, simple and easy to digest sonic experiences out there in a visual novel style. Full of incredibly well drawn art of a good portion of the main Sonic cast in their unique outfit for this mystery where they find out who murdered Sonic The Hedgehog.

Kirby and the forgotten Land is possibly the most graceful transition a long established franchise has ever made from 2D to 3D. Of course there was a slight attempt made very many years ago but even with that considered , this game represents Hal going back to the drawing board to give Kirby the fresh new approach that the franchise has long deserved. Kirby and The Forgotten Land has 2.5D styled level design, linear 3D tight platforming remeniscent of crash bandicoot and more open 3D level design that takes full advantage of the new dimension. They've considered that Kirby's endless flight capabilities might not have led to the best platforming challenges and have went with compromising his endless flight for something more limited but still incredibly powerful.

Where this game really shines to me as someone who has fallen out of the Kirby franchise for a while is the satisfaction one can achieve while playing the game through creative, smart and quick use of copy abilities that can be laid around the levels in much higher frequencies thanks to the open space. With each area having so many layers to view and interact with, you'll soon come to realize just how much they've managed to cram into the package once you start aiming to complete their hidden objectives. Bosses, platforming and puzzles have more room to grow with the new ways the developers can allow Kirby to interact with every major and even minor part of the entire experience.

My personal favourite part of the whole experience was challenging myself to complete every bonus room within their given time limits, some of which proved to be genuinely fun challenges that had me retry the room maybe once or twice.

Finally, one great new benefit to 3D came in the form of semi-scripted setpieces that are far more cinematic than anything in the entire franchise while not entirely becoming a playable movie. The ending sequence of this game is such a treat to play and to view. This is Kirby showing just how much it can really do and while not the deepest or most challenging game, I couldn't be happier with it. Well actually I could, they still haven't made a follow-up to The Amazing Mirror but this works just fine too.

This is easily the worst console Sonic game sonic team has put out ever. I've never seen a platformer with such unintuitive and unresponsive controls that actively fight against the player at every turn. This game deserves to be even more forgotten than it already is, I'm quite honestly glad 06 took the attention away from this embarrassment of game design. At least when people think of the "worst sonic game" they think of one with some actual potential that can be reached through modding or remakes.
Cute story though.

So many issues are in this game but it's just such an enjoyable time as a longtime fan. I really hope they improve on what's here, despite the concerns with the game itself I would be lying if I said I didn't have a blast. Easy recommend if you just want a fun time and especially if you are a fan of that sonic soul.

I don't have the words to explain how wonderful this entire experience was.

After encountering the boss between Floor 12 & 13 I promptly decided that this game is only worth completing with a trusty GameShark on deck.

Genuine question, does it get better as it goes???
