It’s just so much worse than you remember.

Look at it this way: The story may be more dry than a textbook, and the gameplay may be less refined than a broken branch, but at least it’s hard to save.

If you like RPGs, this is a must-play. If you don’t like RPGs, this is a must-play, and you’ll love RPGs afterwards.

I have this friend okay, and they have like 2000 hours in this game and they keep saying “pop some boid with me, pop some boid with me so fun you’re gonna love it”, and they’re getting other friends of mine to play Zomboid and they keep talking about “popping some boid”, but I really just don’t understand what they want from me. Every time I try to “pop some boid” with them, they just run around and shoot me, so, I’ll admit I don’t really understand how the raccoon plays into all of this.

An overlooked stealth/action gem that’s got amazing music, a vibrant world, a decent story, and memorable characters. Well worth a play whenever possible. Hopefully, that sequel never ever comes out.

It’s already been long enough for us all to look back at this game and say “Right here. This is where video game writing fell off the cliff.” It’s so awful in every sense. Don’t play this game. Not ever.
