Coming into this game, I thought it was going to be like the first which was a horrible experience. Drift 1 is like one of if not the worst kart racer I’ve ever played.
I was pleasantly surprised with how fun this game was and how well it controlled, some things that annoyed me in the original like getting hit by the back of a car but the cpus will go through you were fixed here. It made the experience feel less like I was up against a certain character and more like I was against several.
The tracks were improved upon, there’s some little annoyances like Casino Night but overall I really enjoyed a ton of them, being a loop or having a certain end they were lengthier than the original and more fun. I also enjoyed how the other game modes weren’t just reused names just different mapping, rather you’re getting new levels with different themes and aesthetics, Ice Cap was genuine surprise for me. I do think the colorization of the modes are odd tho, Purple, White, and Blue.
A massive step up from the previous, I actually wanted to get first on every mode as it didn’t feel like I needed to dedicate that much time to it. I can see myself playing this with friends if others were down for it.
