I’ll give it two stars because this has some power fantasies when you think about it, but man it looks like a terrible game lol.

It’s a very cute VN that’s very laid back. The cat ladies Vanilla and Chocola are cute characters and being set in a cafe gives it charm. But it is very laid back so not much really happens in term of story. It’s a good afternoon game if you can pick it up on sale.

So the HD rumble really had to work with this game, lol.

It’s rather lewd and you’re massaging the ladies, and yea, you get what you paid for I suppose!

*-*

Bubsy sucks, I hate it, it's a terrible game and a terrible character. The fact that I know that gaming publications praised this game and it even received awards will always be the bane of my existence.

For an actual critique, it's a confusing and bland Sonic the Hedgehog ripoff. The level's have different branching paths and alot of the times don't make sense and adds to the confusion. Bubsy himself controls like he's been standing on oil for YEARS. And if you fall off from a slightly high enough ledge you WILL die, which is a ridiculous thing for any platformer to have. He talks....and i hate it, its super cringe even during the 90s. And the music is garbage and it's the same crap you would here from any other bland platformer of the era.
Gross Game, very Icky.....blah!

I took time for my thoughts to sink in for TOTK, and didn't want to rush into any conclusions. I even took my time playing it here and there after I've beaten the game and I have to say, this is one of the best Zelda games I have ever played, probably one of the best of all time.

(An attempt will be made to not go too long lol)

First the gameplay, it basically took everything that worked in BOTW and essentially upgraded it. Climbing and traversing everywhere you can potentially see in the horizon is always a treat, and finding and experimenting with new weapons was always fun. It also has more enemies to go up against like walking trees and all the way up to the three headed Gleeoks in different regions of the game.
And new mechanics were replaced with fusing weapons or building new ways to defend yourself or make a tank! There's so many possibilities and you come to understand that there's more happening under the hood of TOTK.
The dungeons are also improved, although they still may not be like how they once used to be in the classic 3D Zeldas, but instead it's more of a clever blend of classic and botw styles, and it plays quite well. Traversing to the dungeons are also very cool this time, big example is the Wind Temple, one of the best parts of the game.
Boss fights too! They've gotten a big glowup this time too, they can be challenging but also super interesting too, and they give a "big fight feeling" when you get to where the bosses are, it's all fantastic. Also there's a whole SKY to explore, AND a whole UNDERGROUND as well, there's so much game and so much to do, it's quite shocking honestly...idk how the Switch just doesn't explode already, lol.
The BIG ting i want to talk about it sound and music, because it doesn't seem there is much of it, but truly they've done an exquisite job on all fronts here. Sound ambience is amazing here, love hearing all the small intricacies of smaller instruments to handle different type of tension. Also they cleverly use different mixes of iconic Zelda songs to make a grander scale epic. And the way they handle the more intense music and how it can change the mood from scene to scene, whether it's a crazy boss battle or just going to different levels of a dungeon, it's done perfectly and it's one of those few games they i happily put headphones on for.
It's one of the GOATs and it show it off in style. Idk what the next Zelda game will be, but right now this one sets a standard to what an Open World Zelda game should be!

My favorite multiplayer game.

I have a thing for golf games, for whatever reason I find them to be the most charming set of games if done right, and i can vibe easily with them. Kirby's Dream Course was probably the reason for that.
It's unusual to call it a golf game though, it doesn't really follow the rules of golf. Just hit your little Kirbo around and smack into enemies until the goal opens up and you get to it. Simple enough, but some of the stages can be a little intricate on how you handle your shots. Also you can gain the powers of the baddies hanging around on the levels too, giving some extra thought on how to get the most out of each level.
Single player is fine, it gets you used to the mechanics quite well, it's when you get Player 2 involved where the magic happens. Now it's a race to get the most stars before punting your Kirbo into the Goal Hole. And you can steal the stars from your opponent too, so it makes for what was a cozy time, to a frenetic and competitive experience.

....also it's Kirby as a golf ball, come on that's cool no?

Please play the game, its cute and fun!

Mickey Mania has gorgeous visuals for its time, in fact I can vividly remember almost every level from here. The music also has some callbacks from the older Mickey Mouse cartoons (so do the levels). The main issue the game has are a little bit of the controls, and the platforming.
Actually I would say the controls and platforming are fine, but it's more like the hit detection alot of the time don't make sense, and makes the game really fricken hard! Some platforms you think you got the landing but instead you go through them sometimes. Same with enemies where you think you jumped on them or avoided them only to be hit in the strangest way.
If you can get used to the hit detection then you have a serviceable platformer that have amazing sprite work. Just be wary that it may take alot of time to get over the frustrating parts.

It's a really crappy pinball game that is hard as hell to beat, but also it's incredibly fun. The stages are interesting but also frustrating, and the mini games that happen can kick you in the ass. If you're playing this on the Genesis Collection with a save state/rewind ability, then the game is a hell lot more bearable.
Regardless, I loved the game as a kid, still love it as an adult, no matter how glitchy it is.

Between the WiiU version and this version, I've clocked in a little over 500 hours. This is definitely one of the best musou games to ever come out. The story is serviceable and gives some interesting scenarios and the music is absolutely amazing. The rock core versions of classic Zelda songs are eargasms for me.
The gameplay too, almost every characters have different playstyles depending on what weapon you choose for them, some are awesome and others are just plain goofy, like Link getting the spinner or even the Great Fairy as a weapon! And there are many different characters from all the different Zelda games of the past and some original ones. My favorite was Lana, and also my most hated (lol).
But what REALLY made me love this game was the Adventure Mode. Originally what you got was a grid based game mode where each square is a different challenge with different prerequisites. And the grid is based off the original Legend of Zelda overworld map. And over time you unlock either new outfits or weapons or characters. Eventually DLC was released (or in the definitive edition it was already caked into the game) and released even more maps with even more challenges, all based on different games, like Majora's Mask. Each of these maps had their own set of rules you must follow in order to complete them. THIS is what took all of my time, I love these, they were great to do. Some of them, though, were some of the hardest challenges I have ever done, specifically anything that had to do with Lana. It can kick you in the nuts and smirk at you without hesitation.
Regardless of all that, there's so much content here that it's worth every penny to play this. One of the best times I ever had on both Switch and the WiiU!

This is my favorite Smash Bros. game, but because it was competitive. It introduced some awesome levels and the music was amazing for the most part, and it introduced some more fighters, one of which became my permanent main (peach). I remember always doing the Event Match levels, they were my favorite thing to do in the game, unlocking things and doing usual match ups were my thing back in the day.
The other big memory is that my friends would always come over and play this with me, always going to Hyrule Temple and going to the underside and just whack each other until we were bouncing off every wall of the stage.
It was a memorable experience, and it's why I think Smash is a great game, despite me not really playing much of it anymore.
The competitive part is interesting, but I also think it kinda ruins the chaotic part of the game that I enjoy so I don't think its necessary in this or in any game. (FInal Destination is so boring I don't get it! lol)

It was a decent time, not as memorable or my favorite, especially since i believe Ultimate did everything better in it.

But regardless, love the new fighters in it, and the dlc reveals for it were hype, especially the Bayonetta one.

The 3DS version felt a little better tbh, it had the better single player modes.

One of the very first PSX games i have ever played. I love the aesthetic to this very day and it was a very clever puzzle game. I really wished they would remaster it or just port it over to something like the Switch, just to relive the memories of this.

(btw i was very young, I'm sure I didn't solve many of these puzzles...but my babysitter helped alot with this, lol)

Ain't no way im playing this by myself, let along on my own computer! Thank you Game Grumps for the experience, lol. Scary stuff to manipulate you're computer like that. :P

When I was working at gamestop, this was one of the free copies the company gave me, and my other coworkers also got the game, so the three of us would always play. After getting through halfway through the game, I was so bored and annoyed over the game that I just dipped out our sessions and completely gave up on it. It's not a great zelda game in terms of presentation...it doesn't do much in that. And the dungeons are borderline horrible. The only good takeaway for this game is that the outfits were pretty awesome.
I'll never play this game again ..lol

To get it out of the way, yes this is the best Mickey mouse game. The levels are great the music is great and the bosses are fun and it's not too easy or too hard. I recommend it to anyone who could find a copy.

With that out of the way, sometimes you're not in the right headspace and life hits you hard sometimes. Sometimes you need to have thought of great memories or just need something that you can use as a coping mechanism. Video games usually do that for me, cuz sometimes I deal with thoughts or moments of life that put you tbeough darkness. This game, whether I played it recently or not, usually helps me get through whatever I'm thinking because of the memories I share as a child. This is just one of those rare instances where maybe sharing this not only helps myself but maybe someone else who just needs a little escapism. Srry it's a little much maybe but that's how much the game means to the little goddess in me!
