Played the SNES version on Switch SNES NSO.

Had a real fun time, I think it's my 3rd fave in the series. 105% is really fun, Kiddy's strengths really shine in it.

A solid Crash Bandicoot clone filled with the charm of the M&Ms characters yet riddled with some frustrating things that prevent it from being great, but I didn't feel like I wasted my time with it.

Controls could've been a bit tighter and level design could've been more fair, otherwise its a solid time. The music composition is nuts.

This game was funny as fuck and my friends and I got a good jumpscare out of it alongside the game softlocking me on the final boss.

That said, I only give it a 1 1/2 star rating for the sheer hilarity of how bad this was alone. Don't play it otherwise LMFAO.

A great time. Music was great, controls were solid, got that old school difficulty cause man that true final boss folded me like a napkin. A very replayable and fun game for sure.

Such a fun rhythm game on the DS. Its over the top and wholesome in every way possible with the people you help.

MASTAPIECE

I've only ever played the demo of the first game on 3DS and I knew for a fact it was definitely a great game. I copped the striker pack awhile ago and yeah, Gunvolt 1 is good, while Gunvolt 2 is GREAT.

The game definitely has a skill curve to it, but once you get things down, it all clicks, and the game rewards you for it. The story between the two games was fairly solid, a bit predictable at times, so I wasn't fully invested as I wanted to be, but the characters are all pretty charming and funny so I wasn't completely out of touch. Copen took a bit for me to click in GV2, but his play style is really fun and rewarding in it's own right.

I definitely recommend the Striker Pack as the best way to play these two games, and if you're into stuff like Mega Man Gunvolt will likely be up your alley. (I'm not sure if the GV1 Steam port got fixed so bear in mind if you wanna get the series on PC).

A short, sweet, and cute little SNES game with nice music. Its simple and chill. All.you really need.

Yoshi is a series I personally view as having two great games (Yoshi's Island and Wooly World) and the rest of the series is just average/mediocre. Yoshi's Story is a game I view as probably the best out of the mediocre entries with half of that reasoning coming from it being such a fascinating game to just take in.

Its one of the few 2D N64 games. The game plays alright, it looks and sounds extremely weird, it did the pre-rendered sprite route like DKC but also made it look fairly cheap for some reason despite the N64 having stronger hardware? I dunno man lmao.

To me its just an average game I can just sit through and beat in less than an hour. I'd rather have that than like waste a few hours on something that I'm not enjoying cough Yoshi's Island DS

Cute and short little game, cool to see something like this exist today especially since I expected someone like McDonalds to either do nothing at all or just shoot out a cheap flash game. Nah, they straight up commissioned folks that have a record of developing Game Boy/Game Boy Color homebrew games. Cool as hell of them to do.

Now get em to re-release McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure and we'd be square.

Probs one of my favorite 2D Mario games now! Love the music and visuals, and Wario's Castle is a great level.

This game has been on my backlog for quite a long while and back in 2017-2018 I would've said "oh this is great defs the 2nd best game in the M&L series"

But upon coming back to it and actually beating it my opinion has shifted drastically. There are elements I like about the game still, the music, gameplay, and humor, a staple in AlphaDream's library, but there are so many issues that pile up with Dream Team it makes me not want to touch again anytime soon.

The most significant issue is the padding peppered throughout the whole game. Its something you may not notice playing it in short bursts, but it becomes incredibly noticable if played in long sessions. The most notable examples of this are dragging out the collection of one of the Ultibed parts and towards the end of the game where you fight Kamek three times in a row before facing off the final bosses, but thats held up too because now you need to go to the dreamworld and disable 3 flamethrowers affecting the real world before even touching the final bosses.

Another pace breaking issue is the game's nature of holding your hand. Yes, the previous Mario & Luigi games had tutorials, but not to the caliber of how this game implements them. I find it ridiculous that the game forces in tutorial interruptions with Dreambert even towards the end of the damn game. There are no way to turn off these interruptions or tutorials. Its forced.

As fun as the battles are, the issues I had is the forced gyro controls with no option to swap them to stick and button. I'm not sure if my 3DS gyro is busted, but I had issues with precision especially in one of the giant battles.

As for the giant battles they are such a massive step down from the BiS ones. They're slow for a reason, to illustrate that weight & oomph you have, but it mitigates the fast paced nature of the BiS giant fights, not to mention wonky gyro controls in those fights too. Fun.

Overall, there is a solid game here, but its so bogged down by its issues of padding, pacing, and forced controls it overstays its welcome and is a longer game because of said issues.

I can't recommend this game unless you play it in short bursts. But for that I'd say just play Bowser's Inside Story instead.

Solid remake for a solid game

Missed opportunities to fix the issues that originated from Adventure (getting hit once being enough to lose an ability). I was fine with the limitation in the first 4 worlds but world 5 onward it got annoying.

Good game overall though, I prefer it over the original.

Great remake for an amazing game! Couldn't put my 3DS dowm at all playing it (until it was dying).

I have a few little nitpicks of the game, but they're not enough for me to say this isn't a great remake. Definitely worth your time with all the QoL improvements.

Completely ignored Bowser's Minions. Just watch the cutscenes on Youtube.
