Has potential as a full game, but otherwise is lacking in content with a story mode that lasts only minutes. Freeplay has a few time trials and combat trials with a few collectibles scattered around, but other than that, not much going on. At least it's free and it has the actual voices of Ned and Peter from the movie.

A very short visual novel. And by short, I mean I finished it in 6 minutes. It's free at least, so there's that. The visuals were nice, the story while short was at least decent with a sorta twist ending that makes it feel somewhat relevant to today, all complimented with some nice music.

A short but interesting visual novel where you help a mentally ill girl have the courage to go to the store and buy milk. Uneasy themes with some fourth wall breaking to build a short relationship of sort between her, the character, and you, the reader.

A surprisingly good Spider-Man game that goes for a continuation of the movie rather than an adaptation. A good story, very fun combat, and a large city that's fun to swing around in.

When I picked up a used copy, I did not expect this to be as good as it was. I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay. When I first started adjusting to the gameplay style, I expected it'd be a game where I'd find one "job", or class, that I liked and stick to it throughout the game, but I actually found myself trying to using most of them and actually enjoyed mixing it up, my favorite one actually being one I wasn't expecting it to be. They've all got their own capabilities that are further enhanced by specific armor and weapons and while I wasn't as good with a few of them, I still figured out how to make them work.

As for the story, at first I wasn't sure it nor it's characters would hit, but it gets stronger further in, more interesting in the middle, and quite good especially in the end game where a lot of small things start to make sense and are revealed to have greater significance.

Definitely wish I got around to this one a lot sooner and it's one I can see myself doing another playthrough of in the future.

The combat is moderately fun, using the environment to kill enemies with exploding barrels, electricity, or by drowning them. The water physics are great, which is pretty much what this game is remembered for. The story isn't too impressive and considering this is only the first chapter and the next one was cancelled, the game ends quite abruptly. The Xbox 360 version also ends earlier than the PS3 and PC versions as those actually have an ending boss fight, whereas the 360 version doesn't, ending randomly after a cutscene instead.

I originally skipped over this game in the series upon release, having been a bit burnt out from Far Cry at that point and not thinking it was anything special. After a while since having beaten the 6th game, I finally decided to come back to 5 and give it a try, and I wish I'd played this one first as it's so much better. While the gameplay is the same typical, somewhat repetitive loop the series is known for, the story of this one really drew me in and kept me with it, especially with the wonderfully crafted villains and a buildup to two powerful endings.

Decent story, nothing too spectacular, but just enough to follow. Fun gunplay with some decent abilities to compliment them. Only complaint is a lot of levels and areas are re-used multiple times throughout the campaign and it's very obvious.

Refreshing gameplay. Average story, great soundtrack, semi-bland world, partially held back by the limited hardware it released on.

Was not a fun game to play through. The further in you get, the more the awful controls hinder you.

Merely unlocking every level is absolute hell. Playing through the challenges is torture. The suffering is not rewarding.

2022

Playing as a cat may have been the whole gimmick, but it was an enjoyable experience.

The campaign was a lot better than I thought it'd be. Even gave the multiplayer a try and was surprised to enjoy it. A shame that both shall soon be inaccessible.
