this is pretty much a perfect indie game; it's a great idea that mostly borrows the right things from its inspirations and is and always will be a unique product in the greater landscape of gaming. this game used to make me lost my damn mind and now i'm great at it and that feeling is awesome. also the DLC is great, maybe greater than the base game at some points and that is saying a lot,. i really love the boss rush aspect i think not enough games are picking up on this, this is a big part of why this game is so good is because you just go from one exciting and wildely different challenge to another each time. i admit there are a few moments in this game that are still kind of bullshit but they're details really, we really need more games as brilliant as this

I think the funniest thing ever about this game is how half the dialogue interactions are senseless and absurd and idiotic but when you suggest a threesome you get the most cold, down to earth realistic response

This is kinda like a sorta dull lucasart game, its full of great ideas and puzzles but it is my least favorite work from ron gilbert yet. If he'd just stop trying to get meta for no reasons and self-referencing so much itd make a difference. Still I had a damn good time lmao, Dolores is one of my fav video game character ever

Theres something so weird about those dlcs because while I love them much better than the original shovel knight, I wouldnt if shovel knight didnt exist in the first place like a big part of why I love these games is because they add so much to the lore and world building of the game. But I mean the level design is also stellar and those are just so fun id love them still but its funny
