This series is how I found out about the term "yaoi" and I will never forgive it for that.

One of the better visual novel experiences you can get on modern consoles, if you're willing to occasionally put up with some backwards logic puzzles and shenanigans that wouldn't fly on even the weirdest TV courtroom drama.

I started playing this last summer but stopped playing because of the release of Baldur's Gate 3 and other anticipated games, and I unfortunately never ended up picking it up again. I thought I'd start it again because what I'd played was really good.

I wish I hadn't put it down in the first place. Unsighted is an absolutely incredible game. The combat is great, it's challenging without being frustrating and being able to pull off parries and long combos is so satisfying. The boss fights are so much fun. The time limits mechanic is great too, its firm but fair in a way that feels tense but without feeling unfair or stressful. The story was really compelling and delightfully queer, the art style and visuals look great, and I will be listening to the soundtrack when working on uni assignments for the foreseeable future. I can't recommend it enough.

This is the second game I've played this year about lesbian androids. I couldn't fit that point into the actual review but I thought it was worth mentioning.

the Demonica stays ON during sex

Amazing. Breathtaking. Better than SMT4. Better than all Megaten. Absolutely perfect game. Skyrim robbed this of GOTY, and this game deserves vengeance and recognition.

Ok, listen. As an adult lesbian, I was genuinely excited when I heard about this VN, mainly because the Yuri genre tends to be saturated with innocent and wholesome schoolgirl fluff, and honestly, I'm just tired of it. I was thrilled to see someone finally tackling the relatively unexplored realm of Yuri omegaverse. Unlike the hugely popular BL omegaverse genre, larger-scale Yuri omegaverse projects are practically non-existent.

But the VN left me with mixed feelings - it was both disappointing and great at the same time. The pacing was breakneck, rushing to introduce players to its vision of an omegaverse setting, which felt pretty basic compared to other omegaverse works. It seemed like ideas were thrown around and plot points were set up, only to either remain unresolved or fall flat upon execution. Despite this, the writing was still very enjoyable and refreshing.

However, the biggest letdown was the VN's length. It was incredibly short, much shorter than their previous games. I finished it in about 1.5h, leaving me feeling like the game ended just as it was getting started. Which is frustrating, because I really liked the relationship between the two leads.

Overall, it's a great Yuri VN with excellent artwork and character design that tries to stand out from generic schoolgirl-themed ones, but is soured by its short length.

as a huge comic reader i am consistently excited for comic book games to come out. i am ALSO consistently disappointed with games that waste the characters they were given. this has grown me to be skeptical of new games coming out. i was a lil suspicious of ssktjl, and I never had much hope for avengers. however, this is the first time i have been SURE that a game will be good.

this game improves on EVERYTHING in the first game, taking some newer features from spider-man miles morales, but adding plenty of new features on top of it. i think now that these two characters are established they can tell crazy fun stories.

i went into this game blind, literally not knowing ANYTHING. and i LOVED seeing everything unfold. the roster of villains in this game i think is a lot better than the first game, and some of the choices made in the story are insanely interesting. i'd love to say which but i try to avoid spoilers so...

i really only have two problems with this game, and one of them doesnt really matter. majority of the suits in the game, are either returning, or incredibly similar. for example, peter has the advanced suit, which is the suit created, and used for majority of the first game. in this game they introduce the advanced 2.0, which is the same suit but the colors are a LOT more vibrant. instead of making 1.0 a suit style (which is a great new feature btw), they instead made it it's own suit. another problem i have with the suits, are that 12 of peter's suits are from the spider-man movies. i understand that people are going to want to play as these suits. but i just wish they would group them together instead of making them separate, especially when they don't get new styles. the current trilogy of spider-man movies in the mcu, have six suits. i just feel thats a little too excessive.

talking about miles suits is going to be a little harder, because he as a character has only been around for a little over 10 years. he hasn't had nearly as much time as peter to get unique suits, so most of them in this game are original creations (which is actually really fun). but to me a lot of his suits just look so similar. but all of this doesn't really matter, because they are cosmetics, and most of the time you'll just stick to your favorite suit.

the other problem i have with the game is how some of the missions are repetitive. some of the activites that are based off of the characters in the game, are very underwhelming. again, i can't say much due to spoilers, but I just think these missions could be a LOT more creative.

but the pros definitely outshine the cons. this is a perfect sequel to a perfect superhero game, and all future comic book games should aspire to be.

i definitely rambled too much but i just love this game :>

>Be open-world video game based on a wildly popular character
>Have fairly standard world design that is elevated by the amazing controls based around speed and maintaining momentum
>Have a progression system based around doing easy tasks in the world to earn collectibles that make the player stronger/upgrade abilities
>Said easy tasks are boring but are over with so fast its not a huge issue, they're made more fun by the controls
>Have simple but fun combat
>Have controversial pace-breaking missions that interrupt the flow of the open-world gameplay that are much slower in comparison
>Have great boss fights with incredible spectacle
>Have a protagonist with a character model that sparks Twitter discourse for unimportant reasons
>Be Sonic Frontiers, pic unrelated

Solid game that has no one playing it. Like how did this go under everyone's radar? Try it out, it's good, it's got interesting mechanics and ideas that are executed pretty well.

Shrek

2001

Shrek is the most relatable protagonist in all of media. Wants to be left alone, doesn't want to pay taxes, just wants to eat and drink and not have to raise some stupid shitty kid who calls you the N-word over Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer that you still play in the year 2021.

Shrek is the example of what modern manhood should be. He is the greatest being to have ever been created.

I am Shrek, and I hope that one day, I won't have to pay child support or run from the law anymore.
