Super fun, tight, well-implemented game. Fantastic world, aesthetic, and gameplay. I just wish it was longer.

Not as good as the original Necrodancer. The beat detection was so unreliable that I had to turn it off, and the game was way too easy and short without it, revealing how actually sparse in content it was. Didn't innovate in gameplay very much.

Definitely enjoyed it in college when it came out, but didn't complete it when the story overstayed its welcome with a THIRD "collect the macguffins" twist. I'd like to return and complete it someday. I can still sing BUMP OF CHICKEN's OP "Karma" by memory, lol

Nowhere near as charming as Ni no Kuni 1...lost interest, but would be open to returning to it one day.

Cool ideas, cute world, ultimately shallow design that lost traction pretty quickly.

This game owns, but only really shines in multiplayer. Can't wait to play the DLC.

Another unique, unforgettable GameCube game I'd love to share on stream.

It was adorable, I loved a lot about the gameplay. The plot is legitimately terrible. Maybe I'll pick it back up with the DLC, but I sure as hell ain't payin full price for it.

2018

Best roguelike game made to date. The way the story was implemented in ludonarrative harmony with the game loop was revolutionary. The gameplay was excellent, though had small issues that prevented it from being as smooth as, say, Bastion- the first game by the same studio. Overall, a masterpiece and the greatest innovation of its year.

Yo we had so many good times on this game in high school Anime Club.

Amazing game. Prefer it to STS. Can't WAIT for the DLC. The devs haven't done enough to improve the balance, though.

It's so janky but also so cool. I really want to play more of it, but it's SOOO time-consuming.

What an awesome multiplayer game. I'd love to return to and finish it with a friend or 2.

One of my favorite games of all time. Had so much fun making custom racers.
