smgs for scratch damage. pistols for real damage. switch weapons between characters so they maintain high accumulative levels; the rest isn't much more nuanced than that

for the record: RoF's tutorial completely explains the intricacies of the battle system in great detail. it's just missable and important

@huntermask the original release had the same cover actually. the art is reversible. it's prolly just the way it is by default for lame marketing reasons
