This...is how not to make an open world kids game. It is just really empty and boring. Also, the game has so many game breaking bugs and glitches that were never patched even well over a year after release.

Also, don't bother looking for collectables or exploring until you get all aliens. You can get them by doing the first 3-4 missions in every branch of the campaign.

For reference, I 100% this game (technically) in about 10 hours. See my far too in-depth review below:

Content - A pretty good size open world map...but there is nothing in it. The collectables are a thing. Some are just things, others are level ups for your powers. That's cool I guess. Out of my 10 hours (6 were spent just going where I needed to go). There is a fast travel system, but it is not helpful/useful really as you can only fast travel to/from very specific spots.

Achievements - They are completely busted. I 100% this game (as much as I could), however, researching online taught me that if you save and quit, then the achievements have a 50/50 shot of breaking. I am technically missing 4 achievements (all I should technically have). For me to get those, I have to restart from a fresh save and get them without quitting it seems. No thanks.

Sound Design - eh. There is sound. Although, halfway though the game, the voice acting just stopped working.

Level Design - Most of this game uses the open world as an excuse to not have level design. This is not good. There are platform/puzzle rooms to complete in music rooms. Those are decent. The rest of the level design is pretty bad. Although, you can get to areas outside of intended methods pretty often.

Controls - it is fine. The character select wheel works different than all other wheels. Letting go doesn't close the menu; You have to select your alien to close it. It is snappy though when used to it.

Art - Basic, and inoffensive, but horribly low texture resolutions. Also, tons of pop in from the environment.

Challenge - It is almost all very easy with a couple of exceptions. The exceptions are combat challenges where you fight 10 waves of enemies. I did these before upgrading a lot, and it was brutal, but I did it. There are just so many enemies on screen during those. I did one again after being fully powered up and it was very easy at that point.

Story - eh. The main missions are so short. You could beat the main story within 3 or 4 hours probably.

Bugs - So many. A few of the icons were not on the correct spot on the map. One collectable item never spawned where it was supposed to. Many achievements didn't appear because of me not playing in one sitting. I fell through the map a few times because I used an alien powerup too close to a wall.

Value - This game is really rough. If you are looking for an open world, collect-athon kid's game...just go with like Mario odyssey or Yooka Laylee.

This game has the best story/writing of any game I have played this year so far. Gameplay is good too with a unique twist with using your fellow guardian's abilities. Incredible game that unfortunately is being slept on due to the failure that Marvel's Avengers was.

This game is lovely. It takes about 3 hours to 100%, but despite the short play length, it has a lot of heart and passion. The game is very relaxing and the story is touching.

By the way, the story is pretty much only told through you moving and you learning about the person you are unpacking for by seeing where they move, and what they move with them.

Gameplay...well, it isn't complex at all. There are literally only 2 buttons used outside of moving the cursor around. Not a bad thing at all as the purpose of this game is to not be complex. Just simple, relaxing fun. The game is light puzzler where you try to find out what should go where and how it should be organized.

Also, the pixel art is lovely.

The voice acting is awkward because you can tell they didn't record enough lines for every situation. While the big twist at the end was actually slightly different than I expected, it was still not well written. The writers thought they were much more clever than they actually are.

Also, the puzzles are ok, but nothing super great. Overall a borefest that I just finished to see the end of the story and because I had been excited for this game since it was announced. Shame

This is total garbage. I hate everything about this game.

This isn't as bad with a controller as you would think. It is decent fun, especially with how short it is. HOWEVER, the achievement system is busted. You can only get one achievement per level, and many of the achievements don't pop up when they are supposed to. So I found myself replaying levels several times just to get achievements I should have already gotten.

If achievements weren't broken, it would probably be 3-3.5 stars.

I mean...It is a lawn mower simulator. I feel like too much time is spent in the actual mowing levels (they can easily take 30 minutes sometimes). The business side is pretty well done though. This is probably a good game for the people looking for this specifically

Man, the soundtrack is so sick. Driving felt weird for the first hour or so, but you get used to it. Great game!

Good game overall, but there is just too much content to 100% the game for now. I may return to the game in a few years and wrap it up. After about 40 hours, I am at 60% completion.

I typically platinum Lego games. My favorite is Lego Jurassic World, which takes between 20-30 hours for me to 100%. In this game, the puzzles aren't unique enough from one another to justify platinum'ing this game. This game was a blast though for about 25-30 hours. Also, this game is actually genuinely funny.

I was originally excited for it because it just sounded like a fun concept. However, this is terrible and wasn't play tested at all it seems. First big issue is main menu, it says, "Press any button". On the Series X though, it turns out there is a bug where you have to completely reset your console to get past that screen (which I found out several hours later online). I reached out to the devs but never heard anything back.

Also, the game is ugly, controls very poorly, is very cheaply made, and has very severe input lag, even on the menus. There is about 0.3-0.5 second delay on all inputs it seems.

Also, the menu can only be navigated by the left stick and not the d-pad, which isn't a horrible thing, but just screams IDGAF by the dev team.

Controls are super weird, and it takes a bit of time to get a grasp on everything. However, the game was pretty neat. We don't get a lot of these big mech games these days, unlike the early 2000s

Honestly, the most annoying thing about this game is the RPG stuff. I found myself just wanting to play the next golf course, but I kept getting blocked by not being high enough level and by having required quests block progress of the golfing. The golfing is fairly decent to great though, minus just a few select courses that are actually pretty bad

I know this is one of the most loved indie games, and I don't blame anyone for that. It is pretty awesome. The game does a lot right. Of all of the bosses I fought, I like how every boss had a different intended strat to kill that was challenging, but rewarding to pull off. There was only one thing I didn't care for that is kinda big. I personally couldn't get a handle on the touchy movement controls (adjusting your position in the air was the most difficult part for me). I just kept overshooting and undershooting my jumps constantly. Most don't seem to have this issue, so I may just not have much experience in platformers with these physics. Still worth playing as you will almost certainly have a more enjoyable time than I did.

This game doesn't feel very special, interesting, or even have great control. It is decent enough, but in a world of Forza Horizon, Grid, NFS Heat, and even Burnout Paradise Remastered, there is no compelling reason to play this.

Unlike Paw Patrol Mighty Pups, this game is not even good for its target audience. Even children who like Peppa Pig will probably not like this game. It is pretty horrible. The game gets 1 star for at least working, but everything else is bad.

It takes about 45-60 minutes to platinum
