Playing Shadowbringers and Endwalker back-to-back within the span of a month has done irreversible and devastating damage to my psyche. I'm not sure how one can top this run in future expansions, but I guess we'll see.

The plot lacked some depth to me, and a lot of actions felt like they were unnecessary or lacked proper explanation. More personally, I wish we got to see more of Elpis, this zone had so much potential for further exploration and stories. Still, the expansion was very enjoyable, and is overall carried by the charming dialogue, beautiful ost, and the emotional payoff of this journey.

I now embrace the eternal Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus brainrot.

Emet-Selch, my beloved.

Peak storytelling that unfortunately is locked behind hundreds of hours of gameplay that I cannot recommend to my friends without sounding like the "please bro, just get past the first 600 hours it gets so good" meme. Everything in this expansion from the characters to the OST is wonderful.

After sinking 500 hours into this game, patch 4.1 has got to be the first time I've enjoyed anything about ffxiv's story

yakuza series, you will always be so special to me

I was initially skeptical of trying this game out, as I wasn't sure what they were planning to do with the story and I was afraid they'd milk the hell out Kiryu's storyline. 10 hours had passed by already, and I realized I never paused to take a break, and then I was hit with that ending scene, and I was once again reminded by how much heart and soul these games have.

pavlov conditioning is singing baby baby baby whenever you ambush an enemy

Hold my hand
In other words
Darling kiss me
Fill my heart with song
And let me sing for ever more

Another wonderful, heart-warming (and heart-wrenching) Yakuza game with hours of content without dragging itself out.

While I wouldn't say this is the best Yakuza game, this is definitely my personal favourite (as well as my entry to the rest of the games). The story balances out its absurdity and seriousness well, the interactions between the characters feel very authentic, you get attached to the characters, the mini-games and the sub-stories lure you in for days. I wish I could play this for the first time again
