ITSUDATTE ITSUDATTE ITSUDATTE SUGU YOKO DE WARATTEITA
NAKUSHITEMO TORIMODOSU KIMI NO WO I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU
(this game is still the best thing ever)

Everything that has to do with the "Redux" part honestly suck but its (mainly) optional, the game itself well, if something makes me want to die but I still make it to the end then its good

hunting down urban legends and yokai in tokyo? that's so coo-wait no don't turn into an ubisoft open world game noooooooooo

Has some really neat ideas and I like when it goes full mindfuck on the way the house works, its a shame that most of the game is spent walking on samey grey corridors and shooting red enemies. There's also a high potential for fun puzzle solving here but the game never really goes beyond "use your telekinesis to throw objects at shapes" .

The good: the world gets expanded now, the story is not just about Rance going on some adventure but we get to know what kind of world he inhabits, I'm assuming lots of thing established here will have relevance on later games.
The charm and humor stays the same as the previous games too, so if you like that there's more of it.

The bad: once the again the gameplay is nothing to write home about, its better than 02 but overall is still pretty mindless, once you get Feliss and the item that lets you summon her for free the game is a cakewalk, that's it until you reach the final boss which will require both you to grind until at least level 40 and pray to the RNG gods that he doesn't target the one healer in your group.

Overall I didn't have a bad time with it, even though some gameplay related stuff might be annoying the game is overall easy enough that it doesn't reach annoying level.

Night City is really well done, its hard to not dwarfed by it during your time there, the districts have all their own style and during my entire 50ish hour run I never got tired of traversing and exploring it.

If you actually bother doing stuff like gigs and the cyberpsycho capture missions it paints a pretty bleak world. Nobody has truly "made it" in night city, top corpos are left to rot the moment they turn useless to the company, elite soldiers are hunted like dogs once their high amount of cyberware starts acting up. Truly the best you can hope is to live your life in your own terms and die in a blaze of glory.

Now my issue with the game lies in what are the typical pitfalls of open world games. While this alone scores tons of points for night city being an actually fun map to explore and traverse unlike most Ubisoft games there's still a myriad of very dull choices. The skill tree seems overwhelming at first, but then you realize that most of the skills are just "do 2,5% more damage with handguns" or "3% more chances of a crit". The looter shooter aspect just made me groan, its no fun that after every shootout I had to comb the are to see if I find a gun that does 5 more points of damage than my current one. While the majority of secondary missions are well done gigs are a very mixed bag, some are good and help paint what kind of world Cyberpunk is more, but a lot of them are just very basic "go there, kill some guys and then leave".

There's a pretty cool narrative and characters here along with a world that's genuinely well made, but sadly everything is just kinda buried under a pile of trite AAA choices.

Definitely a step down from 01. Gameplay is very simplistic and there's a very annoying RNG component but at the very least its fairly short and easy so its not hard to just soldier through it.

pretty early on I made Rance go play in the sand and he just kicked some kid's sandcastle, this pretty much set the tone for the entire game

The way the main plot comes together is great, side missions are mostly pretty good too and actually provide more insight into what kind of person Yagami is, the cast is great, so yeah it makes for a very solid yakuza spin-off
It has some very glaring issues but I can forgive them because everything else more than makes up for it

its catan, you either love it or hate but it does a good job of adapting the board game
the main game is free and you can play it anytime, but you need to pay if you want any of the expansions

you can get it for free but you really need to pay 10$ to get the full experience, still not a bad deal considering that its a good adaptation of a very good deckbuilder

My daily experience with this game is "hmm I will only play a couple of matches" and then I can't stop

Improves pretty much everything upon the first game, all the girls get satisfying conclusions to their character arcs and relationships and you also gets tons of things to customize your characters
So yeah this is boobkino
