as a first exposure to any kind of Star Wars content, I enjoyed the world quite a bit. as a game, though, it reaffirmed my general distaste for souls-likes.
while I appreciated the inclusion of difficulty modes, I wish the selection was more granular like forgiving attack/parry timings but normal enemy aggression. I couldn't be bothered to pay so much attention to timing in fights so turned down the difficulty to story-mode but also had to deal with the hilariously low enemy aggression in that mode.
considering the sheer amount of platforming mechanics involved, I was left severely disappointed with just how often Cal would completely miss simple jumps, ropes, wall-runs, etc.
puzzles were generally a hit-or-miss (or more like meh-or-miss).
still, overall, I had a fun time with the story, environments, exploration, and characters.

has its fun moments and overall a good game, just marred with the unnecessarily excessive, constant waves of enemies at almost every turn that simply feel like they're getting in the way of the storytelling. wouldn't have complained if at least the combat was more varied, but instead, seemingly, only the enemy quantities are turned up as the game progresses. wore me down enough for me to finish the last two-ish missions with the no-damage assist setting turned on.
also, the map UI is some unintuitive garbage for some reason. and some of the puzzles felt kinda lame.
the Ashtray Maze was really cool, though.
